I work at best buy and the JBL 2.0 all in one has alot of issues and we get returns on them all the time.the Samsung is ok but not any better.I prefer the Sony and Yamaha all in one more for compact soundbars.
@@TotallydubbedHD Also work at -insert big-box American electronics retailer-; Samsung stuff typically has QC issues, just weird random stuff that should have kept it from leaving the factory. Their soundbars are typically pretty bad anyway compared to the competition, so I usually sell people on Polk, Sony, or Yamaha because they sound better and typically don't come back unless the customer either wants to drop more money on a higher-end model or just step up to a real system. JBL is an arm of Samsung, so same types of random nit-noid problems.
@@forgottencameras interesting! But those companies you listed don't make better sounding bars imo - Samsung in this respect is class-leading with its product line up. But in the lower end of the market, companies like Polk/Denon and Yamaha do provide better solutions
I use this mounted on the headboard of my bed with an Xgimi projector for movie nights and it's great for small to medium sized rooms/bedrooms. I find clear voice works well and it has plenty of low end for my use case. I find the fact it has an analogue in really handy too, as I've noticed soundbars from other companies often leave out this option. It's a pretty versatile unit and I don't regret my purchase.
Bought this and replaced my PC speaker for about a month now. It is perfectly sufficient IF I enable the bass extension mode, I would say I'm 95% satisfied because I can say goodbye to my 15 year old PC speaker which have ugly wires between L and R speaker, that runs into a subwoofer. This soundbar is just a bar no subwoofer, though it still has a power block like a laptop. The remaining 5% from 100% satisfied is the specs, if you lookup on their main website specs, and compare this to the other higher end expensive model, you will notice this SR-C20A don't have tweeter, which is probably why the relatively higher frequency sound doesn't seem to standout enough against the overall sound and engulfed by other low to mid range sound.
Panasonic sound slayer has tweeters as well , I've decided its either this or Panasonic one but wondering which has more bass and sounds better for music but I want dolby atmos/dts:x certification ill be using hdmi on pc to pass dolby (using dolby access app) and dts via Disney streaming app i guess (imax content has dts audio apparently)..which one would you suggest for music and subwoofer control effectiveness/punchyness? I can get both for £150
To be honest bro I liked your car video on sound test than that torturing song my ear was about to start bleeding but overall loved the way you explained everything now I can buy this one. Thnx bro really appreciate that
I got the JBL All in One Soundbar before. I bought it for about 130€. But i wasn‘t happy with it because there was Not enough Power to enjoy Movies with it. They got just 40 Watts and even with a 75 Volume the Sound was really weak. I Hope this Soundbar will be better and more Powerful. I can‘t Go with an extra Woofer because of my Neighbors.
How does this compare with the Creative Stage V2? Know it doesn't have a dedicated subwoofer, but the Yamaha seems to pack a serious amount of mids and bass..! Not sure if it's just me/the recording, but listening between the sound tests from the two videos, it seems the Yamaha sounds fuller?
Always hard to judge over a RUclips video tbh, but I would say the Yamaha has a slightly deeper soundstage presence. Personally, if I had to pick between the two, I'd get the Creative - far more ability to connect with different sources, added subwoofer and better all-round sound.
Cracking review. Thank you. How would you connect this to a PC, if there is no HDMI out? PC would be about 8 meters from speaker. Appreciate any feedback. 👍🏻
I'm looking at getting the Yamaha SR-C20A (currently $220 AUD for me), but would it be worth getting just the Creative Stage Air instead (currently $70 AUD for me). I'd prefer to have just the soundbar so I'd rather not go with Creative Stage 2.1.
The Air won't sound as good as the C20A, however, the price difference makes it hard not to recommend the Creative - as at that price it's pretty much unbeatable.
I have unboxed it and given this a try. I am not impressed, but it is better than a Hisense TV sound. I am just testing things out of the box, but even then I am not that impressed with the bar. I just brought one brand new for £59. It is my first sound bar and I am tone deaf anyway so I am hoping that it is good enough for what I want it for. I went for the white version as I am sick and tired of everything being black only, so when I saw it then as I had a voucher as a good will gesture, I could not say no really. plus next day delivery then I am a happy chappy. To me it is just a toy really, just a bucket list item, even though this was never on my bucket list as I already have a 9.1 surround system that I have not used for years, but better to have happy neighbours and no anti social behaviour, than it is to have unhappy neighbours.
Is Analog the same thing as the Auxiliary 3.5mm jack? I understand Aux is analog but is it the same thing? I'd prefer to look stupid in a comment section than drop 180 just to return it the next day.
would you recomend this bar to be placed below my 32'' monitor. we will be seated relatively close. and does it work with the keyboard keys like volume adjustment and mute.
Check if there's interference between the devices; ie other things that might be causing 'blockages' - why aren't you connected via Optical to your PC though?
I've just bought SR-620A and I am going nuts trying to make the remote app for iPhone recognize it. Here in your video you show that app working. Do you have any tech hint to make the iPhone app work? It is known for sure that my iPhone Bluetooth is on and capable of pairing with the soundbar.
@@TotallydubbedHD I solved it. There are actually two Yamaha soundbar controller apps offered for iPhone, only one of which works with SR-C20A, and I grabbed the wrong one at first.
BTW, thank you for the video. I bought this to use with a ceiling-mount projector that has a blah mono speaker but with analog audio output. Audio is desired on occasion. So the soundbar is way up high, an outrigger on the projector mount. While not a miraculous sound, it is really pretty decent.Considering the compactness and price point as well, it was the best choice.
SR-B20A is a lot longer. I think the primary selling point of C20A is it is SMALL, otherwise there isn't really much reason to buy it if the space isn't a limiting factor.

I'd always suggest optical to the PC, unless USB playback is plausible - very rare on a soundbar

That's a great price!
Does the fact it only has the HDMI arc mean that if my tv doesnt have this, I would have to use optical?
That's right, but a lot of TVs have ARC (or eARC), unless it's a much older TV

That's right 3.5mm = aux = analogue.
That's why I'd highly suggest running on a digital input instead (optical or HDMI)
