Nice review I have owned my Yas-209 since it was announced back in 2019 and still today its stellar, and if you look around you can get it here in the USA for $199.00! which is a great buy. I recently purchased the Samsung Q950A 11.1.4 Sound bar with Dolby Atmos and DTS-X which sound great; the app for the Yamaha is excellent compared to the Smart Things app from Samsung and the bass for the Yas-209 is much better in terms of punch and actually sounding like a sub woofer should be. I will say that the $350 US seems a bit pricey for a 2.1 ch soundbar. My take would be for whoever is looking for a great surround reproduction without spending an arm and a leg like the $800+ options to look for a refurbished Yamaha YSP-5600 as that has, in the time I have owned it, has produced some great sound and is an all-in-one solution (meaning it has in integrated subwoofer for those looking for a clean solution). When I got it a few years ago it was somewhere around $450-500 US but obviously prices change over time.

Again, I‘m just curious about the woofer performance. Maybe one more thing. Can you recommend a bar+woofer Setup in that price Range That has a very substantial woofer ?
For its price, it's perfectly acceptable - unless you get a more expensive setup (like the JBL 5.1) or a proper a Hi-Fi setup you won't be able to achieve better at this price.

Whether this soundbar is good for larger rooms, eg 20-30m2? What is the ideal room size for Yas 209? Other soundbar (jbl, klipsch etc) have much more watts (300-400w) and this Yamaha "only" 200w:)
Tnx
@@zujko100 no idea for that size, that's pretty large. It's not about volume really, it's more about the soundstage
How do you activate Alexa on this soundbar?
Pl respond.
How would you compare it to the JBL bar 2.1 DB? Especially the mids. I don't like them on the YAS cause they are slightly weaker than I wished.
I'd say the JBL is a little more recessed to be honest - you'll want to look into the Samsung in the description if you want bettered mids, not the JBL.

yahama Yas 209 and LG Sp8A sound bar. I listen music vai Spotify app. Which sound bar is best let me know 🙏🏻
Not tried the other, so can't comment
This sound bar is support dts x and 3d surround sound, well my TV has Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision support, should i buy this sound bar or should I buy Dolby Atmos sound bar
Well if you can afford an Atmos bar and would use it, then yes. Otherwise, just get this.
Thanks for sharing.
Hello. I’m using this product with my Xbox and connecting it with my phone via Bluetooth since a month and it’s so much immersive one with a splendid sound! The Yamaha!- mind blowing!!!
But the issue I’m facing is can’t connect with my Bravia LED tv which has no HDMI arc support.. if I wanted to watch a movie by connecting a pendrive on tv - this bar is not supporting on my normal hdmi port.
Will be there any solution for this?
Strange that it doesn't have ARC! But yes, the other solution is optical.
@@TotallydubbedHD hello sir, my led tv has only 3.5mm jack and normal hdmi. No optical output
@@rahimarshad1114 then I'm not sure buddy, sorry.
Heard great things about the Polk Audio Signa 2, which is better?
Not tried that one so can't comment.
Bra let me ask you one thing .. what is your honest opinion when it comes to the subwoofer performance ?
Im about to buy a soundbar with woofer from 4-500 bucks and this one is one of the candidates.
@@TotallydubbedHD what is the Model from jbl you talk about ?

This is more what I look for.
As u mentioned in the review the sub is very dominant and powerfull and That is exactly what I want 😅 🔫
But the jbl5.1 is now a little older.
Can you recommend a soundbar setup with a comparable strong sub like this ?
It don’t even have to be 5.1.. I’m fine with a high quality 2.1.
But I think you already know exactly what I look for 😉

Would you recommend for a big living room ? Or which sound bar would you recommend under 500
Big or small doesn't really make a difference as they all get loud. It's the extra drivers however to fill a room that will make a difference in a bigger space.
For £500 you got plenty of options, maybe check the Samsung soundbars at that price, which generally do good.
I have the same one, was wondering if anyone can help me , my Alexa light is sold red I even when off with the red standby mode , is this nirmal? If not anybody know how to fix it and turn there’d off

Thanks for the review. Confused between JBL 2.1 Deep Bass and Yamaha Yas 209. While, Yahama costs about 25% more, if I have to choose purely based on audio performance (movies and sports), which one should I go for? Thanks in advance
Pleasure. As for the differences, they were compared a lot in the review - if you want more emphasis on bass, it's the JBL and a more balanced sound, the Yamaha. Would I pay extra for the Yamaha? Probably not.
@@TotallydubbedHD thanks a lot. Also, how does Samsung's Q800T compare with JBL 2.1 Bass and Yamaha Yas 209? Also, since q800t availablity is an issue, how about q60t? Thanks again :)
