Once I’m done with my 2016 excursion build I would like for you guys to do the magic on my suspension. I want that truck to drive smooth and reliable as possible.
All the parts for a Carli E-Venture leveling system for my 2021 F350 Tremor arrived at the shop in FL on Dec 13. Went full boat to include the rear HD Deavers. Get everything installed the first week of January. Can't wait!!
How is that set up working out? I’m conflicted about getting 2.5 or 4.5. I work out of my truck but spend a good bit of time off road through out the year.
@@rustinkhodges I'm happy with the setup so far. I would not recommend the lower steering stabilizer if you plan to use the truck off road. I bent mine on the first off pavement run when I slid into a rut on the trail. The lower stabilizer is the lowest thing on the truck and it bent like a twig with the weight of the truck. I replaced it but won't in the future. Drove without it for 3 weeks and couldn't tell the difference. The setup has this little front to back spring bounce when you stop. Carli told me that's normal and all their systems do that regardless of the shock package you get.
Great looking build! What load rating are the Ridge Grapplers 38x13.5x20’s? And is there any noticeable ride quality difference with the bigger 20” wheels vs. Carli’s recommended optimal tire/wheel setup of 37x12.5x17? Thx
I just ordered a F350 King Ranch Tremor Package. Will not take delivery until May. Would this package on this video be a good option to run 40-inch tires? Looking forward to your suggestions.
It will absolutely work for a street and light off road truck, but 40" tires require some serious front and rear sheet metal trimming to properly cycle off road, so we don't recommend them unless you're okay with that.
What is the plan from Carli to keep those electronic connections clean for northern climates? In winter the front shock reservoirs get covered all winter with ice, snow, and salt. I like this setup but want them to last 10 years if possible with rebuilds every 50K miles.
They're completely sealed just like any other weather-pac connector on your truck! The other nice thing is that these shocks are fully serviceable like a King or Fox 2.5 shock so if a seal goes bad, it's an easy fix.
What’s the width on the wheel ? The fact that you put a 13.50 wide tire on a narrow wheel doesn’t affect the full thread being planted to the ground? Are you able to post a price for this setup?
This wheel is 9" wide. We regularly mount 13.5" wide tires on 8.5-9" wheel and it is both safe and perfectly fine for tire wear. As for pricing, we included links to the system and wheels! Exact pricing is dependent on what options you select, so there's a lot of variability.
It really is kinda wild. The issue is that 40s just don't fit on these trucks without MAJOR sheet metal cutting. We need the OEMs to make bigger fender wells!
It all depends on how you use the truck. If it's just for daily driving, it's pretty minimal fender liner trimming. If you want to be able to completely articulate and stuff the tires off road, you need to do some pretty decent front and particularly rear trimming on the fenders themselves.
@@CJCOffRoad So, the trimming is substantially different between 38x13.5 and 37x12.5? If it is, I might just go with 37x11.5 at this point. I am guessing tire width matters just as much as tire height.
@@CJCOffRoad Okay, good to know! There is also a significant weight difference. I am not looking to build a street queen. No hardcore off-roading or towing either. It will be more of a Swiss army knife. As far as 37" height as constant- are you seeing differences in trimming between 11.5, 12.5, and 13.5" widths?
All 17+ trucks all use the same Carli coil part numbers for both the 2.5 and 4.5 systems respectively. 17-20 F-250/350 trucks and 20+ Tremors are a 2.5” height increase from factory with a level coil. Normal 20+ Super Duty trucks get 3.5” of height increase since Ford actually lowered those trucks from 2020 forward. 4.5/5.5 follow the same pattern. That said, the final hood and roof height is identical between trucks regardless of the year and trim package since the change in measured lift height is just due to the difference in starting factory coil height. Once those come off and the Carli coils go in, the difference is gone. Assuming both trucks are on 37s, roof height is 86” for the 5.5" and 84” for the level height system. The level height kit has a 60.5” bed rail height and the 4.5/5.5 system has a 62.5” bed rail height.
AEV is designed to retain the factory springs and suspension with relocation brackets, drops and spacers to maintain geometry. As a result it rides just like a factory truck. Carli makes a complete replacement suspension system that's designed to transform what the truck is capable of. There's no wrong answer as it just depends on your goals with the truck!

Longbed 🔥
The 2022 trucks look so much better than the 2023s!!! Ford really took a giant leap BACKWARDS especially the clown bar graph gauges!!!
with a proper lift, the long bed is the best looking super duty out there. It does make the 38"s look small though lol

Can’t wait to win the lottery!!
I thought 2020 was the year that they lowered the truck 1” (?) Awesome Build!

Take my money!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥
Long beds rule, higher the lift the better for offloading with a long bed.
The truck looks great. But would look even better with the wheels paint matched to the bottom of the truck.
Still waiting on the E-Venture for the RAM (w/Air)! :)

What a set up like this cost? I have a 2019 King ranch long bed looks like this I love the set up!!
My guess is $20K w all the options
What’s offset of that wheel? Looks great

How much would it be to do this whole package on a 2023 king ranch long bed?
Does this outperform the dominator setup on a Ram? @CJCOffRoad
Where do I take my truck and how much would this cost? I have almost the same truck in antimatter blue
Can you do the same setup on a 2023 or 2024 F-250, King Ranch, Long Bed?
Yes we can!
Do you expect the 23’s to use the same lift kits, or has ford made enough changes that require a new lift?
From what we've seen so far, everything should be identical in terms of suspension.

Needs 40’s like the AEV trucks and it would look SICK!!! Trucks have gotten so big that 38’s look too little!!!

Can you get light bar with amber/white combo? Or is it just white?
With Baja Designs switching colors is as easy as a lens swap, so you can set it up however you like.
What is the exact trimming required on this same setup? I am thinking of going 38x13.5 on 20 instead of 37x12.5 on 18.

It's significantly different for hard off road usage. If you plan to really use the suspension to its potential, stick with 37s.

The wider the tire, the more you have to trim, but it really depends more on the wheel specs than anything else.
Will the 20+ sit at the same final height as the 2017-2019 with the 4.5 inch kit?

@@CJCOffRoad I appreciate the much detailed response! You have made my decision crystal clear!
whats the diff Carli vs AEV trucks

Whats the offset on those wheels?
I would liked to know as well!
Why care, they are 20inch wheels, so stupid to put big wheels on a truck unless you are a raper
These are 5" backspace which is about 0 offset in this configuration.
If I wanted to buy something from CJC and have you guys do the work, what is the wait time?
It all depends on our schedule, but give us a call or email!
Fuck I wish I had $$$ lol.
$80k truck.
$4k or so in wheels and tires.
$2k in lights.
$14k in suspension parts.
*5k in wheels, 3k in tires… Innov8 wheels are outrageous
@@buchananj55 i was guessing they were more but didn’t look em up. They are gorgeous wheels but not for the poor haha.
Don’t forget the cost of the installation…
Nice tax write off
another $100k mall crawler....whoopdty do.......
How do you put the rack back? The level doesn’t ever look level looks squatted.
if you prefer a take look, you can just add a few more shims on the rear leaf pack. We offer those for any Carli leaf pack.
