    Great to see the Malibu which is not too dissimilar to our Carthago 148h... inside ours is a lack of sockets too 🤦🏽‍♀️ With the passenger seat at back does the cushion not remove? Ours does and then your feet can be on the floor ( bit of a faff so we don’t do, just make son sit next to that seat instead! ) Thanks for the tour and your lovely walk. Most enjoyable both 👍🏼🚐🤩Many thanks Michelle and Andy

    I think the van is lovely but its not for us, I know I would never get used to that little headroom in bed and I think I am a bit too wide to enjoy that bathroom lol! It would be great to park but I don't think it has the comfort we are looking for. There are lots of lovely beaches near you, Gullane is lovely, Yellow Craigs and North Berwick if you want a little seaside town with icecream! :) My auntie cooked us kids a pan of sausages on that beach when we were wee, happy memories to see it all again x

    Hello Bob, are you going to do a full review of the van this time including on how you found the toilet and shower as well as how you prepare food and cook in the van? From many of your other videos it looks like you just use campsite showers and toilets, and either eat out or get a takeaway. It’d be a shame not to explore all the features and capabilities of such a nice van.

  • @coveredinpaint7318

    I've never understood the point of that bit of sofa. Even a child would have trouble sitting on it. It's unusable for sitting on, and takes up space for the legs of the person sitting in that travel seat, yet so many of the continental vans have it. I'm also not keen on the drop door on the TV cupboard, it looks like it would be easy to bang your head against it when sitting in the travel seats. A tambour door would be a better option I think.
    I adore watching Poppy frolicking with her friends, she looks so happy!

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  4 года назад +1

      Yes I agree about the side seat.

    • @OurWedding2012
      @OurWedding2012 4 года назад +1

      Does the side back cushion and side seat not come out, we have similar configuration in my van, there is a base below that slides under the seat so as the passenger can get full leg room sitting straight on. I’d be surprised if that wasn’t the case. We now keep that cushions in the garage unless we are having extra guests for a sit round the table.

    • @coveredinpaint7318
      @coveredinpaint7318 4 года назад +1

      @@OurWedding2012 Still doesn't explain why it's there in the first place! It's not deep enough to sit on comfortably.

    To me could do with one of those pop up Elec Socket Towers in the Kitchen
    Theres enough Height in the Garage to Lower the Bed down 1 Full Step , stop banging the old Bonse
    Unusual place for a Toilet Roll Holder , youd have to be a Contortionist to get some Paper if your one of those who keeps sitting 1st to get Paper .Could do with a Recess in the Basin Vanity Unit
    Youd think all these Companies who Design the Interiors would have Experienced Campers like yourselves at the Table to advise what works n what doesnt n best place to Utalise the Nesacities
    Sockets, USBs, Switches,Seating

Most other vans on site had the silver screens so I was looking on your channel for any reviews/recommendations for types of screen but couldn’t seem to find one. Hi Bob, Jenny, Interesting and informative vlog as usual. Just out of interest, is the Malibu about in the same ball park as your new motorhome or do they come in a bit more expensive? Reason I ask is pound for pound your new Swift appears to be better built/better spec based on first look of both. Only advantage of the Malibu perhaps better visibility at the front.

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  4 года назад

      The Malibu is priced from £73k, the Kon-Tiki Sport 574 around £68k.

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  4 года назад +1

      It's a truma blown air heater, don't think it's any louder than any others, but it is working quite hard to keep us at the temperature we are accustomed to!

  • @florence2712
    @florence2712 4 года назад +2

    I bet you’re so glad you’ve gone for your Kon-tiki Sport and not an A Class. What would drive me mad is how the pattern on the floor cupboards don’t match. My OCD but I couldn’t live with that. Also not keen on the lounge areas in the A Classes, seem v small. To me they just seem to be all about the big garage, which then compromises the beds. It’ll make you appreciate your new MH more.
