How curious that just like Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, the fighters have dialogue with Apocalypse before the fight starts, but was removed in the non JPN versions of the game, making it weird to just wait until the fight starts.

Bison's name was always originally Vega in the japanese street fighter. In Japan our Vega is Balrog and our Balrog is M. Bison. But M. Bison sounds too close to Mike Tyson so in English releases they switched the names around. Not sure why Japan's Balrog (our Vega) got a name change though maybe calling our balrog Vega just didn't sound right so they threw his name in the mix

American Bison was supposed to be Balrog, American Vega was first switched in Japan by accident to (US) Bison, and then accidentally cycled to the correct character in the USA shuffle, and of course M. Bison was meant to be American Balrog. (I.e. Balrog=red cloak bison, Vega=Vega, M. Bison-boxer)
