I have realized that there are two equally true conclusions to come out of this: 1) Bryce Harper just has that effect on people. 2) Jonathan Papelbon was just crazy enough to act on it.
That's why i luv him, you gotta have players like that, guys that are good enough to be Pros but they bring just a little bit of an extra Edge to the game, and then that gives Them a little extra Edge and they just fire everybody up around them...i love that s***!

All while using a wood bat, he hit .443, slugged .987, had 31 home runs, 26 doubles, 98 rbis, and won the golden spikes award at 17 years of age. He is a first ballot hall of famer. He is a good role model for younger ball players, he is someone I would pay money to go to the ball park and watch on a daily basis. Hes a legend, and one of my all time favorite players. Him, griffey, and chipper.

I've been a pitcher and a hitter but I gotta take Harpers side on this. He was pissed at his at bat and there's a 99.9% chance they catch that ball in the MLB. I'd tell Paplebon to grab a bat and do it himself, he couldnt hit a major league pitcher if his life depended on it
