God, I adore her. From getting her start performing in the gay bathhouses in the early 70's to this amazing moment now. What an ally she's been for us!
Actually, YES she does sound like an ally. Maybe you didn't watch or listen to the video you chose to prove your point, what she actually said was "Doesn't seem to be hurting anybody (referring to gays getting married) I don't know what harm it would do." For the longest time even the GAY MALE community was against "Gay Marriage" and her point of gay men liking to move around is a stereotype, but there are stereotypes for reason as there is a bit of truth in all of them. There are MANY people that are considered allies (our last president) that at first may not have been on board, but with further information and thought put into things... have realized a better future for all.

So when you watch these people who are in front of the LGBT movement remember who was there first and who was not.
