Wonderful to see a skilled man enjoying himself so much by giving to others.
Laidback Luke I hope you get to read this but your such a big inspiration man, you inspired me back in 2008 to begin producing music when I was only 15. I remember sending you some of my first productions on your forum which you listened and left me feedback for, I was so overwhelmed with joy and looking back at that time it meant so much to me and it still does because you motivated me. I am know 24 years old and although I have not produced for the past half year due to severe depression, I stumbled upon this video and here you are again inspiring me 9 years later to not loose focus of my greatest passions. I love you man you will always be the GOAT
Lump in my throat man.
Finally a tutorial by a big popular producer that's in ableton! Thankyou laidback luke!
uy may pinoy pala dito oh. :) hahaha
Alexandre OLLIVIER really? Thanks for the information man! Cheers
actually deadmau5 is making music on ableton too! LoL :P Watch his livestreams on twitch.
I LOVE that sound of yours, its like the same as your
Joey Beltram - Together (Laidback Luke Remix)
Nytrix - Love Never Died (Laidback Luke Full Vocal Remix)
Max Vangeli & De Kibo - Feel The Music (Laidback Luke Remix) all these have that unique similar sound (to my ear) and its FIIIRE
nobody has done more for the electronic music community than Laidback Luke, hands down
Man you make me smile, can't forget that night you took my request for "Speak Up" in Boston.
You have taught me so much, spinning and producing. and you kill it everytime is see you!
That's so nice of you that you took the time to show us how you produce. I'm a fan!
Groetjes uit België.
Sir you're the man. Thanks for all the info sesh-es. It's easy to overthink things and wonder what you're missing. It is very generous to share your POV. One word of advice as my thanks - make them only available to ME. Enjoy your day Luke!!!
Hey Luke, thank you so much for this video. It's beyond words to be able to get some insight into how a high caliber DJ produces his material. As someone that quite literally produces out of his moms basement with nobody to bounce ideas off of/or see there workflow in person, this is an awesome substitute. Thank you again my dude.
My only suggestions is seeing you actually play out the song would be INSANE.
so much inspiration i actuallly love making music again
Everything was in mono...I was shocked and then I realized that you are a genius!
Mayson Music I don't have time to watch the whole thing today, what's so good about it being in mono?
some artists/engineers prefer producing in mono because if it sounds dope in mono itll probably sound even better in stereo.
mixedbyali has a really good explanation of it
Jaxle producers on the making have to see these kinds of tuto cuz they are given by masters, and yes, it was good ;)
Alexandre OLLIVIER most large speaker systems only have mono output as far as I know
Luke is the DJ's DJ. Awesome videos bruddah. I watch them all.
All i can say man.. is that YOU are awesome!! I just wanna thank you for sharing your expertise to us.. not many do and even with all the internet resources out there (mostly payed) you still don't learn much.. which can really be a downer to us aspiring new producers.
Been waiting for an LBL tutorial like this for years. Always talk years ago in the forum and here it is. The technical part of this was following the work flow to the organization of this thing. Harder to follow when sections aren't grouped in an organized template but to each there own. This video is def a great example of the loudness wars, super boosting EQs, compression on compression, boosting every frequency in multiband exciters etc. Freaking mixing on steroids.
You've been giving back to the producers since LBL Forums. Much love and respect for all that you did and are doing!
Thank you for showing us how you produce your tracks/ remixes! 🙏
Awesome! I love your humble home studio. You keep me inspired Luke.

Crackin vid as always mate! Im glad i seen this one!
Hi Luke, great tips you've shown us here. really valuable. Respect!
If i may give you 1 tip for referencing while mix & master on Ableton:
Instead of creating Pre-Master or send bus while working on laptop & earphone, you can just set those Reference Tracks output in Ableton live to Ext. Out, so it can be routed out without going thru the main Master. And it's truly Flat at unity gain.
So then you can keep your Master bus FXs for your mix :)
Best of luck for you. JL !
Thank you Aldy
Afternoon Jones glad to help
Awesome video.Personally thinking that lead group was sounding better without changing melody and adding that firebeatz synths

question...when you started your track..did you level out as you went or you just started dropping things in without leveling them out? Also...didnt notice if you started out at -6db and mastered up to the reference. What was your starting point?
The remix is sounding really good man. Congrats!
Nice Video
Love You and your videos and your music
LOVE THIS SO MUCH💛
Nobody sign a contract. That's a good way to get shelf'd. Do it yourself. Patience is key.
I'm re-watching this from my hometown yangon. Myanmar and just realised Legendary Laidback Luke was here in 2017 🙄
you should consider using OBS for recording your computer audio and webcam video - it's free and super simple to use! no external mics needed and it could make your video editing life way easier ;)

Thank you ,Luke)
Sick!!
great job love u
Little pro-tip, you can route tracks in Ableton to Ext. Out, which bypasses the Master channel! Let's you avoid doing this Premaster business you've got going on.
great video !
great remix!!!! i was wondering! why you decide not to give a little space @18:57 for the drop...
thanks for the love dude!

Hi Luke, when will you release this track?
I want it on my Spotify! 👍
What hoodie is that he's wearing at 0:39? It's sooo cool!
Do have somewhere I can send a demo? Love the videos!
So you make the entire structure with basic sounds and design the synths afterwards?
