    You had a really good year, jay. You released a lot more tracks this year and they were all fantastic. I hope next year is even better.
    I would love to see a video where you explain how to vocal chop. Maybe like a live session where you're creating something brand new for a potential new song/remix.
    But that's just my opinion. Happy holidays jay

    extremely helpful, well-paced video.
    Jay always chops vocals in the most catchy and melodic ways and has such well chosen and mixed kicks for his tracks, so it was awesome to see how he approached the vox, the kick and the strings for this track!

      KalleHullu but this high pitched chop vocal is over used damn..

    • @ImCodyLee
      @ImCodyLee 8 лет назад

      I wouldn't say so. Vocal chops can either be really good, or really bad. It works in this case, but regardless it's catchy, and that's why everyone still uses it.

    • @portfoliocollection8072
      @portfoliocollection8072 8 лет назад

      Cody Lee you know why everyone use that? cause u throw some random acapella in ur sampler ..slice that shit up and pick some random note and boom its a fucking melody. ya its catchy and all but damn i expect more complex shit from these huge artist

    • @ImCodyLee
      @ImCodyLee 8 лет назад +1

      Don't change what's not broken. The records sell, so they'll do it. It's the sad reality of how the music industry works tbh

    • @KalleHullu
      @KalleHullu 8 лет назад +1

      Its not about how you make tracks. Its about what you make, because when people are listening music on radio, Spotify, RUclips etc. they care only about that is the track catchy, not is the sounddesing complex, is the lead self made or preset, how well its mastered, mixed etc.

      Izotope Ozone 5. But anyway, what is important its the mixing part not the mastering itself.

    • @ImCodyLee
      @ImCodyLee 8 лет назад

      Probably because he has an engineer who does the mastering. You can see the Ozone 5 on the master which is probably just a temporary master so he can play the record out in his sets!

      Nvm you did it sorry 😂

    • @mitjalubej6743
      @mitjalubej6743 8 лет назад +15

      Because of automation. If he solo one track he also hase to solo all the automation clips. That way its easier to just move the clip itself to the end of the track.

    • @Raelex
      @Raelex 8 лет назад +1

      Mitja Lubej yes but when he drags it out of the main song, it isn't with automation anyways

    • @rondleberik5337
      @rondleberik5337 8 лет назад +8

      The HowTo Pro ofcourse he does... He even does it in this video. Sometimes it's just not practical because you also mute the automations that affect the track. You can avoid this by griuping your tracks properly but that's a workflow thing, and his projects are pretty messy so yeah..
