3 of those towers broke off of our wake pro 230, but we were tubing behind it.
the instructions say that the pylon is not to be used with pulling a tube. Why the contradictory information?
question though. is there a possible way to wake SURF behind a sea foo (any model but preferably spark if that would be possible)
the retractable part sunk when I capsized.. shitty part cant even find that retractable rod alone have to buy the whole system again
Can this be used on 2020 GTI 170?
Can you please confirm that the retractable ski pylon (p/n 295100457) is rated for towing tubes?
I had read somewhere that it was not designed for the extra drag of a tube.
Thanks in advance
Same question here! According to Sea Doo catalogue you should “Never use the Ski Pylon to tow an inflatable or similar toy. Always use the rear cleat.”
This note is shown for both pylons (LinQ and standard), and tow pro.
Video guy did say tuber, right? 🤔
Did you get any answer on your question? And where else can you connect a tube if its not allowed and you have the pylon installed?

@@stefanroeder87 Hi! No I didn’t. According to the manual, they expect you to tow inflatables or toys from the steel cleat that is fixed at the rear end of the watercraft. I guess the position can change depending on the model. I was asking for the RXP-X.
@@dlc_lg Okay got it. My Sea-Doo "guy" told me to put the rope around the very bottom or the lowest element in the lowest position. Never just on the top like for waterskiing. I guess you can use the handles to hold on to it only if you put the rope around the base between the 3 connecting points to the hull. (I'm using the fixed version for the RXT-X models, not the LInQ System yet).
How much spark
The rubber strap that holds the pylon up has gotten dried up and has cracked. Where can I get a replacement strap and the metal pin that engages the pylon?
I have 2018 gts last night i got the tow hook attachment and trying to pull the tube some tune it just put to much drag and make the ski wanna wheelie and bog then u have to start a few times. This being hired dose it cause less drag( my ski dose not have vts)
Been looking for the rubber strap as well. No luck. Has anyone been able to find where to but it?
I have a ski pylon and want to use a 1P and 3P Towable. The manual says not to use them with the ski pylon. Here it says its okay. Where else could I connect it having the pylon installed?
Sea doo website states not to use the ski pylon for any towable of any sort , I have the same question though. I can’t figure out what the purpose of the ski pylon is for if you can use it for towables
@@brianmartinez761 My Sea-Doo Service told me just not to expand the Pylon when using Towables. Just loop it around the lowest possible point where it has most strength. Pulled a 3P extra large towable without a problem...
@@stefanroeder87 awesome , thanks for the information. Any tips when when towing a tube with a skie ?
@@brianmartinez761 Get a long enough rope (i suggest at least 10m or 30ft) with bungee element. That reduces the stress on the tube, the ski and the passenger. Length of course depends on the area / space of operation.
i've read SOOO many stories about these breaking after a short time or the whole unit coming out the top and people losing that part - what sort of POS part is this made from? I'm going to fabricate my own one that's ten times stronger than these exceptionally over priced pieces of crap. @0:50 - "performs exceptionally well" - are you standing by that comment?
Design now finished and implemented. Here ya go... greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=280549&page=9
Your link doesn't work😢 i would've really like to see what you did!
Its a pos. Very expensive pos. The plastic upper stem cracked after its second use. Needs to be made of a stronger material like stainless steel or carbon fibre.
