I love your new front entry. It's definitely brighter and more approachable!
Yay, thank you!
Beautiful planting job, that feather falls carex and lemon ice mountain are the bees knees.
Looking so gorgeous! I’d also like to comment on how great you look. So pretty in your gardens. You are just as beautiful as your space. I really enjoy your knowledge and perspective on all things in the landscape. Appreciate you. Thanks again.
Oh thank you, Janeen, that makes my day!
Love the carex, thanks for sharing ❤

I really enjoy watching you work! Thank you for talking to us as you work!
Thanks for watching!
The Carex is a nice touch to the front entrance. Love the variegated leaves. Do you ever sit in the front with a cup of coffee to enjoy the gardens. 💚🌿
Sometimes I do! It's lovely with a light breeze.

Nice sharing❤❤
Full support🥰
Love watching how you move and divide plants. The ice storm we had in the PNW took out some very old established plants, but gave me a new flower bed to start new. I found a First Edition Eclipse Hydrangea. Big red leaves and red flower. It pops next to the japanese grass and varigated red veined green leaf huerchera. It is the eye stopper in that section for sure.
Beautiful combination! That would be good contrast.
My mom gave me a feather falls carex late last summer. It was in the same size pots you had. I planted it and I just divided it today into 4 hefty pieces. It grew at least 3 times its size from last year. Actually, it wasn't even in the ground a whole year! The root ball was so dense that I had to slice it from the bottom up through to the leaves. Worked well! I'm really enjoying mine, but just know in my 6a garden with full sun, it became massive!
Wow, thanks for sharing. These just get morning sun stay not get as big, but I am hoping they fill out! Would love to possibly use in other spaces as well so good to know.
Good choice with the carex, they look so nice !
Thanks
I keep forgetting about Carex!
I live in Southeastern Michigan and I thoroughly enjoy your videos of your spectacular garden. You have a lovely way about you and your instructional videos of how to plant certain types of flowers and shrubs are very clear and informative. That carex is going to be very nice in your front flower bed. I was wondering why you have so many varied pots near your front entrance against the brick walkway. That area just doesn’t seem to match the beautiful plantings in your other flower beds. I have learned a lot about what works best in my area from you. I have given up on smaller pots because of our weather challenges here. One day, my pots were suffocating in the oppressive heat and other days they were drowning. Do you water those pots twice a day? I had tried to line some pots against my brick house wall which is also along my driveway. They just couldn’t survive. Do you have plans to put plants in the ground next to your house along the front walkway when you redo the front entrance. I would look forward to your suggestions for such a difficult area. I want my entrance to look pretty and welcoming but maintenance has become a real issue for me.
The small pots are barely watered because it is the north side of my house and deeply shaded so nothing grows super well there. At least not yet. I have been pursuing different ideas and will eventually land on the winner, if not this year, next year!
