This is an area near Melbourne in south-east Australia, I think it's the Black Spur in the Yarra Ranges. The forest is a tall wet sclerophyll (gum) forest, with mountain ash (Eucalyptus regnans) the tallest flowering and hardwood plant in the world. Australia is very large with lots of green areas across it; the wettest areas are the Daintree (the world's oldest rainforest 122myo) with 8-12m of rain annually, and on the other side of the country, the Tarkine with 4.5m and many of the oldest plants.
@@betula2137 🤔………thanks for the information. Must be very beautiful country, indeed, and i also adore Eucalyptus (like koalas ) , it must smell divine in those kind of forest 🫠🌲
@@christinebethencourt6197 It smells so unbelievably good, in those moist forests it's so strong and unique. There is also so much diversity (over 700 Eucalypt species, all but 11 endemic to here)! At the moment it's almost spring (& almost midnight...), and the air gets filled with the smell of wattles, which is also a very distinct, sweet, & nostalgic scent -- all the beautiful birds which are attracted too, with mellifluous songs :)
@@betula2137 Ho wow……!!! You are so lucky ……!! Dreamy……🙄…… you gonna give me an idea : tonight before to go to bed, i’ll put some drops of Eucalyptus oil on my pillow 😁……well, better than nothing 🤷♀️, here in Bordeaux (France) it’s still summer, very very hot summer, it’s 3 pm. So good night, have pleasant dreams 🌎🌈
Such a peaceful drive! The Australian countryside looks absolutely stunning. Are there any hidden gems or must-visit spots along this route that you'd recommend? 🚗🌿
Thank You ! This is the kind of videos im looking for ,This IS Beautiful ! Night drives are my most favorite , The Trees Here ARE AMAZING ! Thank you again !
I watched it thru VR glasses. I wish the video wasn’t shaking that much. So beautiful forest. Id love just to walk there, so different from my country forest, so prehistoric
Gembrook, Warburton, Healesville, Noojee, Neerim etc etc - wonderful part of the World - my Parents & Grandparents are interred at Yarra Junction Cemetary. 🙏
One thing I observe is that the vehicle driver is traveling in the left lane, in the same direction as the cars at the intersection. It ought to be in the right lane, in my opinion. Its beautifu btwy😂
As you said it is. Your observation ability is very strong and delicate, which I admire very much. In Australia the traffic rule is to drive on the left. But that day my wife was helping me drive. I shot it from the passenger seat. thanks for watching.
Okay I live in the US. I'm trying to guess where in Australia this is as I've never been there? East Coast? Up in the Northern Territory? Figured it out! East of Melbourne! Beautiful drive! Thanks.
What month was this filmed in? Looks nice and green like the winters we get in South Australia. Does it dry out during summer like everything does here?
This video was shot during the spring season last year. The summer season will be a little bit different, and the color of the plants will be a little bit different.
