Interesting how your tame quality affects the taming of this guy... I saw a vid of iSyzen taming one for himself and with a jerboa which had low health it was hard to keep it "alive" I guess(?) , also the taming went up by only a little, however when he switched to a paraceratherium it went up by a lot , and tge whole procedure took only like 3-4 waves but there were stronger vultures... maybe the "tier" of the creature you use matters in taming an oasisaur. Not like lvl / effectivness way , but the speed of the whole ordeal.
It's unfortunate that he's going to have to wait 24 hours after getting an Oasisaur, the taming counts as a resurrection even though you don't get the creature back, from what I'm seeing.

Its almost like they should be fixing their fucking game that has had these 'seemingly' random crashes since ASE, and it feels like its even more common on scortched now. This is a prime example, the epitome of a love hate relationship with this game.
I remember we crashed underwater once. While you're offline your body is considered unconscious. Fun fact: Scooba gear doesn't work on unconscious people We drown to some bs crash and didn't have anymore scuba gear to go back and try to find our bodies
Sucks. I had given up playing ark because of them shutting down ASE after playing multiple multiplayer servers for years. Literally since beta… Constantly refreshing 6-8 servers weekly just for it all to go down the drain. Finally caved in and bought it for xbox series s, constantly crashes. Got it for pc. Was doing great for a while until an update 2 or so weeks ago and now just constant crashes on that too. Can’t seem to just enjoy the game. 😢
its cause Nitrado actually just sucks, this is just corruption at its finest, a company gets to monopolize the servers cause they paid money to the game
^this. Feeding them regular or extra large trees is the best. I usually run around with a whip and shovel. whip to get rid of all the bushes around the tree so you don't accidentally get them instead, then just uproot the trees and bring them back. I keep about 15 pots in the oasisaur and once a week just go out and refill. Doesnt take long. Cheers and grats don't he oasisaur (and sorry about Agent Travis :( ))
Yeah I tamed one of these on a boosted rates server and red ob was definitely the best place for getting trees, which give like 400 food I think (you can gather the fallen tree branches on the ground, but you can’t gather the dead standing trees….)
@@AceCUPMANMC The oasisaur is fed with filled plant pots as Syntac said in the video. Different plants give different amounts of restore food to the food stat which needs to stay above zero or the creature starts to starve obviously
I lost my favorite Bary, helping someone with caves. It made me try and tame an Oasisaur. Man, that was more insufferable than it looked. The last few waves feels like they want you to have at least one extra person with you.
I had a full base on it.. and periodically the base would half load in.. logging out and back would make it reappear.. nothing was permanently lost, but it has forced me to use it only for farming.. of which it is amazing. Especially with a high quality shovel.
The red ob has plenty of "Extra Large Trees" that give 1000 food each. Large Trees with 4 trunks. They're available elsewhere also, but most abundant I've found at the red ob.

The BEST food for oasisaurs is the trees with three trunks that grow along rivers and in the canyon. About 8 of these trees will fill all of an oasisaurs hunger.
Feeding Oasisaur. Go for the green trees with smooth bark, Bring stuff for repairing your shovel and bring 20-30 pots then it is not too bad.. half hour grind and he will have food for a month. for the resource., sitting in pool looking a bit up towards the center should show you the resource inventory .,
I recently updated my Cryo Sickness Protection mod with a server setting that should make it more suitable for RUclips recordings by hiding the radial menu entries it originally added if you're interested. This should let you disable the cryo sickness cooldown on a PvP server. 😊

Extra Large Trees give like 400 food each pot. They are one of the 2 trees that look like they have a bunch of trunks. It's the one with the skinnier trunks oddly. The thicker trunk one is only a Large Tree, which gives less food.
for the future, fire is a great way to deal with the waves to tame these, either a really good flamethrower or a fire wyvern with decent melee can take care of the vultures pretty easily
well we all know that agent travis is a phoenix in the sense that travis will just be resurrected eventually when he finds another one. cant have a series without him and he’ll always have plot armor that way 😂
Tamed one of these a day or so ago and was hit with instant regret! I love the idea of them, but they’re so massive and are a pain to feed. Quite the chore to keep them around. I do like the sound they make!
if you put a soul inside the Oasisaur it lasts three days. Don't know if you knew that but just figured id give a heads up. so you can have a dead dino, tame it and drop the soul into its inventory and be able to come back the next day after the timers gone. But the souls you use to tame them DO dissapear. Also be glad the first one you found didnt mesh you and your tame successfully killing said tame... Also they come back as their tamed level not with their level ups
I am unsure if Oasisaur is counted among raid creatures but if you don't want to have to feed it every day you can set your Raid Dino Food Drain Multiplier to 0 so they just never starve, you know if you'd rather not do the constant maintenance
I get a fright from the parasaur in the background. Everytime. They sound veeery sinilar to hippos and I'm from south africa so everytime I hear the parasaur, my first thought is "what? There shouldnt be hippos here? Oh yeah duh"
i saw someone use a pacer with a platform saddle with a generator and mini gun turrets. they cryoed the pacer and brought it out once they were in it back and they tame it easy
Sucks do see Agent Travis die from such a dumb reason and get lost in the reincarnation process, but it could be cool to tame a phoenix as your next flier since heat waves are so frequent, they haven't really been used on the channel much, and from what I've seen they're may actually be the fastest way to get across scorched with their dash attack. They can also gather and smelt metal, although I think an argy and anky would still be better for that.
On tamed oaisisaurs, if you drop a bag onto its back then the trees and nodes will dissappear around the bag. This could make it easier to spot the vultures if it works on wild ones.
I personally used a flamethrower for my first oaisisaur. It was way easier than a pistol. It starved because i didn't know how to feed it, and I tamed my second with a fire wyvern. If you aim the fire up, it doesn't hurt the oaisisaur but destroys the vultures. Taming with the wyvern was effortless.
I haven't touched the Oasisaur or Scorched yet but you might ONLY be able to access the resource inventory when there are resources to claim. Next time you pull resources, try leaving some in there and see if you can still access the menu that way.
Oasisaurs lose resources (visually) after taming because their resource inventory is empty when you tame it. The resources will grow back as the inventory fills up again. Also, dino souls last 3 days in an oasisaurs inventory so you should never use the soul of something you want revived to tame one.
To wait out the In-Real-Life 24-hour timer, upload the soul of any dead tame at an Obelisk. The timer stops for any soul in upload until you download the tame on some map. A fire wyvern with +300% damage and 1.5k or more stamina can solo an Oasisaur tame easily. Just don't roast the Oasisaur to death. The tame's soul you use to tame the Oasisaur dies forever and counts for starting the resurrection timer. You can upload an Oasisaur to stop it counting as your one Oasis per tribe to start taming a new one. An Oasisaur with catcus, sand, salt and sulfur can be downloaded onto any map - except Aberration - to let a tribe locally craft Scorched Earth items. The ground of an Oasisaur counts as a foundation and as a ground surface. Use this to help with the limited capacity Do NOT let a Deathworm interact with your Oasisaur. It can get stuck buried in the fake surface. This doesn't just look stupid but can kill your Oasisaur or make it impossible to attack the worm and get it off your tame.
Tip for taming: Dont use a powerful shotgun and miss when the birds are at the baby. I killed the oasisaur doing that. lol also, the weight seems to matter little? idk, mine has structures on it and its not been effected by weight
Platform saddle creatures don't get any weight from structures placed, but they do get the weight of whatever's inside of storage boxes and crafting stations.
I used one of my 180 lightning wyvern soul to tame oasisaur. Still had to do 10 or more waves and took two tribemates and myself all on fire wyverns to tame it. Wasn't easy. We killed 2 out of 3. But I did get my wyvern back after the fact.
25:51 health doesnt really matter, it helps, but the important thing is the creatures level. Really really high levels and u only need to do one round to tame it

You can tame multiple oasisaurs by downloading them in the obelisk. I did that and my tribe has three oasisaurs

You want to feed the oasisaur regular trees. They give like 1000+ food each. Much more effecient then to use small bushes

You can put a dinos soul in the inventory of the oasisaur and it will extend the spoil timer.
Grab the extra large trees near red ob. They give a large amount of food.

32:32 bushes only give it like 15 food. You need to ONLY shovel the LARGE trees, they give 400 food. Large trees on mountains

The large trees can refill up to 1000 food, and most of the trees around me do 400+. It's pretty easy to feed it.

"Large tree" gives 1k food. The bushes give a lot less.

16:35 you can turn the bugs and butterflies off in the settings. Requires a restart, but i highly suggest it. Damn things r annoying

Reload in 3rd person. I believe its quicker. Because it doesnt do the animation. Maybe this is specific to certain guns...

Oasisaur's seems to be a buggy mess; heard structures constantly vanish from their back. So might not be worth the time and resources right now. ^^
