You should watch the movie the rising too if you don't yet. Its quite good. The story was after the first season. You've said about 25th episode, this can be one. Its also where they introduced golden ryan and how tiger reinstated back to first league. Im glad too after so long waiting for the continuation of one of my favourite anime

Fantastic season the partnerships and the issues that brings had be genuinely invested especially when those issues had their inevitable conclusion, they also did a good job fleshing out Villain motivations. As for my favorite of the new heros it's Subaru Sengoku, and my favorite of course is Kotetsu the dude is such a treasure.
I was just so thrilled that T&B finally received a second season - and although I was a wee bit worried that they could pull it off after such an awesome original run, I was mostly relieved and happy with these new episodes, and definitely look forward to the second cours. I liked all three of the new younger characters (and have long loved all the original heroes), and with Ryan (well, from The Rising first) being the most interesting to me, but they still don't hold a candle to the original partnership duo, Tiger and Barnaby! I love 'em both, of course, but Kotetsu is such a unique and mesmerizing (and kinda adorkable) character on so many levels, that I just have to choose him, to the point that I wouldn't be adverse to the second arc focussing back on him and his struggles (as long as Bunny was also heavily involved too!). It's just such a fun and uplifting (and yet emotionally impacting) show! I'm very happy that his anime is back! :-)
They did an amazing job, managed to make it almost as if no time has passed since the 1st season, granted I did rewatch the whole anime and movies to freshen up my memory. I don't feel as though this season can be compared with the 1st, since it has been an obviously big gap production-wise, but rather that it stands right beside it. Kosetsu remains to be my favorite, but I did really enjoy the new cast. Thank you for your review, and I can't wait to hear your thoughts when Part 2 drops!
There not being much of a story until the last few episodes was a problem in both halves of the first season. And I HOPE they finally clean up the cliffhanger from the last episode of season one. Also I'm at the disadvantage of Jake Martinez being my favorite character because I can't look forward to seeing him again. He was such an entertaining villain and Steve Blum was absolutely fantastic playing him.
If I have to pick a favorite out of the new characters I would have to go with He is Thomas . He has an interesting power and backstory and they keep him interesting with having him get More open with the others then close off again. Out of tiger and bunny . I would have to say Bunny . again because of his background and character development.
My favorite character is Dragon Kid. She's just great overall. Between tiger and barnaby, I'd say Barnaby. Mainly because his story is a little more interesting, and Kotetsu is good with faults but in the tired 'dad that has been through things' vibe that doesn't let his current issues shine through as much since he keeps them in. Both are solid characters though.
A lot of people are forgetting that this isnt all of season 2! Similar to how the first airing of s1 worked, they are taking a short break to let animators rest before they publish the other 12. Great practice on sunrises part ! Excited for the next part in a few months !!
Of the new heroes, I think Magical Cat is my favorite, of the old (that aren't T&B) probably Sky High. He's so wholesome. All time favorite characters are Yuri and Kotetsu. Gotta love an anti-hero and our main man
I just the New girl Magic Cat. But yeah, I do love the fact that she’s a newbie to this gig, and just from her story alone, it’s gonna be interesting to see how she resolves her struggle with her Mother and if there are lingering fears after the abuse Mugen and Fugen put everyone through!
I loved the new episodes but for some reason my favorite character is Ryan. I love him so much he's such a brat but the way they gave him a traumatic experience when he used to be just a cocky dude got to my heart
My only disappointment was the downplay of the Blue Rose liking Tiger story. I grew to love that storyline from season 1. My favorite character is Tiger.
I hated how they "concluded" it. Felt like a random pivot and didn't have any of the payoff that it was built up to. Hell, her confessing and being denied would've been more satisfying than her essentially giving up. It the best side-story this show had going for it and eventually become one of the more entertaining aspects of Rose's character. She did say she'd reflect on her feeling, so if a season 3 ever did come about I'd hope they returned to it; but I'm doubtful.
hopefully we see the second league again. happy they didn't ignore the events of the rising and that golden ryan came back. also happy they introduced new characters. not disappointed with the little of ouroboros that we saw cause we know that it's just the tip of the iceberg.
One thing I don't like of the story is... the "criminal syndicate". We know they exist, and that they are evil... and that's it. Two seasons and all we know is the name!
i like how they are doing it. by the end of the original series we all thought ouroboros was just something that Maverick made up to cover himself. that is until the final scene were we see a dollar that when wet shows the ouroboros symbol, symbolizing that ouroboros has deep seeded itself into society and has power. this season reaffirms it's existence by showing us a couple of it's members, that there is a hierarchy, they have interest in nexts and have an orphanage of nexts called the nemo children, they fund RND projects, they are looking for a way to create nexts. what we are getting is the tip of the iceberg.
only part that bothers me is the sponsorship plastered all over their suits, also, this getting a new season kinda gives me hope of HUNTERxHUNTER getting a new season
Funny enough, I was happy they didn't remove the sponsors like in the first season xD I see it like the suits are a sports team tees, and seeing who's supporting who was one of the things that actually highlighted the series
The second season is not as good for sure. Pretty low stakes. The dialogue is atrocious 😩 Each episode Goes NOWHERE. The first season has better scripts. the bromance isn’t great- that’s what made the first season so good!

I'm glad it wasn't focused on Tiger this time, he's just the character type that annoys the hell out of me and I just don't understand why he's the veteran when he makes more mistakes than anyone.

What's the deal with Mr black anyway? One time, he is preaching for heroes to be concerned more about the people and the next thing, he tries to get the centre of attention. Like, pick a lane dude. I hate this character so much
I think they tried to make Mr Black and Thomas's dynamic too much like Tiger and Barnaby's so they changed Black since he doesn't have much of a backstory.

Agree. The mechanical suits look great, but when they use the 3D models in people it looks laughably plastic. I thought it was the banana problem from season 1 over again haha
this is a different animation studio and director, so that's part of it. it's still not as jarring as the banana in season 1. season 1 had it's moments that were jarring, as did the movie The Rising. doesn't stop it from being good, for me

That’s true! I definitely liked his Psychokinesis and Telepathic abilities, not to mention he was just a devious Bastard.

I love to see more episodes, 13 episodes of season 2 are not enough for decade no update.
I was watching the dubbed version and I was like damn I hear Spike Spiegel. Had to look it up and lol it was confirmed the voice actor is the same.
