  • フレームにパーツを取り付けるためのブラケット。単純なパーツですが軽くて耐久性の高いブラケットの製作は、意外と手間がかかります。Brackets are used to attach parts to the frame. Although a simple part, the production of light and durable brackets is surprisingly time-consuming.

    46さんのお仕事はホントに丁寧で、テロップには出てこないですけど、ブラケット裏側のボルトの向きがちゃんとしてたり、単に穴あけするにも先ずはセンタードリルで位置決めするとか、そういうところも作品同様に素晴らしいと思います。それにいつも作業場がキレイ。大事ですね。

    I always use a countersunk screw to center the nut over the hole.

    Very nice! I use the same process, except I've stopped using standard plated nuts: my local industrial fastener vendor sells bare, un-plated nuts - I keep a small quantity on hand for welding. More recently, I purchased nuts which are designed specifically for welding. They come in a variety of shapes. I've chosen a wide flange which can easily be modified to fit inside square stock. They work great, and the weld heat never damages the thread.

    僕のバイクはハーレーなんですが、純正のステーは
    穴開きの板がペッとくっついてるだけで溶接もボテボテです。
    46さんのステーの方がずっと純正のようで
    とても機能的美感がありますね。
    勉強になります。

    Hmm, it looks like a bit over complicated proces for me, it's a just piece of bent sheetmetal, easy to make with basic tools. On the other hand such a design is used common in series production motorbikes and looks a bit too standard in custom built motorbike.

    You can do this way faster with a sheet metal brake. Drill and tap the hole with a flowdrill.

    溶接はロウ付けで代用可能、鉄板の形はグラインダーで切り出し可能。ホムセンのバイスや電動工具が有れば同じ物が作れる。
    後は個々人の腕次第。

    ブラケットのネジ穴位置は、フレームの芯とかそれと接続するカウルやらの位置から逆算し、寸法を自分で見つけ出さねばならない。いざ溶接してみたら部品の位置が合わずに付きませんでした、なんてね。
    これも、個々人の腕次第。
