  • Embodiment is the awareness of the cells of themselves. It is a direct experience. There are no intermediate steps or translations. There is no guide. There is no witness. There is the fully known consciousness of the experienced moment initiated from the cells themselves. In this instance, the brain is the last to know. There is complete knowing. There is peaceful comprehension. Out of this embodiment process emerges feeling, sensing, thinking, witnessing, understanding, compassion. The source of this process is free; it is love.
This clip is from Embodying Cellular Consciousness through Touch and Movement: A Body-Mind Centering Approach® with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen.
The video was filmed during a two-day workshop Bonnie taught at San Diego State University February 10 - 11, 2017. It's a wonderful way to immerse yourself in an aspect of Bonnie's work and get a new perspective on movement, the body and the mind.

It is not the posture, but how you ENGAGE in the posture. That's right.
It is not WHAT you do that makes a difference, but HOW you do it.

That's what Bryan Kest has always taught as well. 😊

I love you Bonnie. But you need to have some sort of structure on how you run your classes. You don’t make sense a lot of times. And if you do, your point doesn’t come across the way you want it to. Please, for all of your followers - do us a favour and try to structure your presentations. Please.

I also love Bonnies' work but have not listened to a lot so far but I intend to. Maybe I shall realize more your comment Theman. Up to now I have welcomed what seems like a 'vagueness' in and between some of her ideas. It as allowed me space to create my own understanding and able to absorb the essence.

Her spontaneity has ints own structure which I prefer to premeditated structures.

Yes this allows for more exploration from your own end and putting any of her words to it that fit for you - I believe. Although Im a very experiential learner & there are many different styles!
