This won out for me vs. the Namche. They both fit about the same - excellently, but the Kangri specs are worth the small price increase over the also-excellent Namche. I’m 185 lbs. 71” tall/ 44/37/43 Large fits great. This jacket is a tad longer than the Namche.
Thank you. Very helpful, after spending hours looking for a new jacket, watched this and ordered one from your site. It arrived yesterday and tested walking in the torrential rain today, first impressions are that the jacket is excellent. If it helps anyone an XL size fits a 6ft2in person with 36in waist .
alright its helps me alot ahha. Does the XL fit u perfectly or is it rather under/oversized. Wanting to buy this jacket too but i have doubts on which size to pick. im 6ft3
Tristan R It fits me perfectly for way I use this type of jacket which it to allow for a fleece under it if the weather turns cold. It is also comfortable with just a T-shirt under as I was wearing today. Body length is right.
Good review, I'm considering a Rab Kangri in the army green colour to blend into the environment. The wired hood peak is a must in my opinion but for some odd reason very few Gore Tex jackets have it anymore. It does look very room, so would my usual regular size M be more a size S in this jacket, with a 95 cm chest (advertised as S - 94cm), would S still be roomy enough?
So what are you ‘actually’ saying about the breathability? Because at the minute this is the most important thing I’m considering when purchasing a new jacket for hill climbing.

Great review. Picked mine up today and testing it out on a hike tomorrow in the rain!
Are the 2 hood toggles on the front supposed to pull tight? When pulled there is nothing to hold them in place. They just release on their own.
