It’s unfortunate you had to go through that. Realistically, how popular bands work, their pr team, management, and lawyers, probably had everything to do with it. I doubt the band themselves even knew. I could be wrong. You seem confident, but 9 times out of ten, it’s a legality issue, and the band doesn’t even know. They’re not asked by pr. Being a legality they probably don’t have the authority to trump that decision (as weird as that sounds) you’d think the artist owns 100% rights, but unless they own their record label.
