Heartbeat is quite an underrated tv series. I was very young when it was first aired, being someone who has always been interested in 1960's & 70's culture. The production and cast of heartbeat was fantastic. When you watch any of the earlier episodes you can tell that they all enjoyed playing their roles. Nick berry and bill maynard were incredible. I think derrick folds was fantastic as well. Heartbeat throughout had so many of the greatest finest talented actors this county has ever seen. Sadly we no longer have the same talent like this today because most of the production values have gone. The last good thing we had in my opinion was life on mars & ashes to ashes. Heartbeat is a very special addictive television series indeed.
I just loved Heartbeat , what an awesome program, the music, everything I didn’t like it when they killed someone off but that’s all part of life and drama . Thank you everyone involved for making it 😊 I liked all the characters too , I think Gina , Oscar and Phil were my favourite and Claude 🩵
Heartbeat ... the ongoing saga of the village Bobby in Aidensfield: a quiet, little village in the Yorkshire Dales with more crime than the Cicero suburb of Chicago.
Sgt Oscar Blaketon yelling "Greengrass" a highlight of every episode plus Alf Ventress cracking his hard boiled eggs on his desk draw with a ciggie in his mouth dribbling ash everywhere, classic! Just loved the classic cars from that era, lovely show that all the family enjoyed. The only one in the whole cast I didn't like was Gina from the hotel, pity you missed David and Bernie Scripts from the garage. Thank you, most enjoyable.
I always wanted heartbeat to age in a parallel timeline in relation to the shows actual filming duration, keeping it set in the 60s for almost 20 years was a bit unrealistic. Everyone aged 20 years over what was meant to only be around 7 years, or however long it was, on the show. It would have been betrer seeing the show continue more into the 70s, and even the 80s. I wonder what it would of been like seeing the first punks rock up in to aidensfield, or the new romantic teens trying go find somewhere to go clubbing. What would the locals have made of boy George for example? If they ever bring it back, it needs to be set at least 15 years after the last episode, maybe even set it in the early 1990s, which is when the first series was made, and 30 years after the first series was set. Its a shame that the sitcom Goodnight Sweetheart's one-off special never got picked up as a full series, seeing how Gary would cope in an unfamiliar future, which is the opposite of the shows original premise. I hope jt gets picked up at somr point, but unlikely now Nicholas Lyndhurst is doing the new Frasier reboot.
Gwen Taylor was also in Monty Pythons The Life of Brian . She was in the scene at the Sermon on the Mount playing Mrs. Big Nose/Woman and also the sick donkey/Young Girl
Niamph Cusack I saw on a recent episode of Death in Paradise. She did not look well at all. Played her part properly. I would not have recognised Nick Berry at all.

Very interesting. Always nice to see what these actors do. Thank you.
Perhaps have a 'part two' to include those that were missed first time round? I used to enjoy this series. Thanks for sharing.
Very interesting. PLEASE CAN WE HAVE A PART TWO covering all the other actors and even WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PROPS (Cars etc), maybe FILMING LOCATIONS
Hi John, there is a part two.
There’s an episode of bangers and cash which has the guy on who supplied the vehicles for the show ,,,he was selling some of them I believe
This was good. Thanks. Knew a bloke who had a holiday home next door to Nick Berry. Said he was a nice guy.

I doubt sheep rustling features much in Chicago crime statistics.........

Very interesting thanks.

What’s this music from .
William Simons was also in 'Coronation Street'.
What happened to the cast of heartbeat? Did their hearts stop beating?
Aging is a horrrible thing we all grow old and ugly yet cats stay beautiful till the day they die !
Thaks for this info, I Think Gwen Taylor was in Eastenders,
You missed Tricia Penrose who was in it from day 1.
Hi Peter, I chose a handful of the cast members as there were far too many. I did mention this in the video.
Nick Berry's after picture looks like a different man altogether.
Not quite from start. She was added to replace her “uncle”, head of the bar.
And gorgeous
She want in from day one nick Berry and green grass was and green grass was in the last seen with him when he left
Derek Fowlds’s wife was a midwife she delivered me .
😂
I’m not saying I remember it. My mother told me . She was there at the time.
Very interesting. Nick berry was gorgeous, isn't age cruel?
Is that nick berry it didn't look like him t day ?
Quality clean moral enjoyment of British way of life seems like centuries away not 50
Bill Maynard was once married to the widow of Donald Campbell, he of "Bluebird" fame.... who was killed on Coniston water.
Jacky solicitor in heartbeat
One the important characters was the barmaid Gina ..how could you leave her out !!
Hi, she’s in part two.
Now a day they will have all the cops In the 50s as blakc 😂😂😂
God knows who that other fella is but it ain't mark Jordan .
ie the bald fella
Hi Pete, it actually is him. I think he may have shaved his head for a role he was playing.
@@gstv-uk fair enough...he's bloody changed a lot even with the bald head
Haven’t we all? lol
@@gstv-uk not me ..I'm just a fatter balder version of myself lol
