- I'm revisiting old VHS recordings from 20-odd years ago.
Travis were (still are) a brilliant band and 'Turn' remains a fantastic song. I'm not certain when this went out - some time in 1999 I reckon. Feel free to enlighten me! A bit grainy as it's analogue and dug out from the loft after years in storage.
This is all for fun and I don't own any rights to the music. I'm just a music lover on a nostalgic journey!

I noticed that Dougie sings that part in every live and not in released studio version!
He puts so much feeling and emphasis into his vocals here. Great performance. I see people doing covers of this song sometimes, always quiet and accoustic. Fair enough, but IMO this song needs to be belted out.
I agree. But the verses sang the octave lower fits perfectly too.

😮 Well because i had two tickets for your band gig plus tickets to attend the REM GIG at the Balloch Castle Country Park, We both went AWOL to attend the gigs over the weekend, but we were back on the ward early monday morning 🫡..Belter...... Amazing how singers with such strong Scottish accents lose the accent when they sing!
They do it on purpose, to appeal to bigger audience, to sell some records to get butter on a bread.
But you should listen to Gerry Cinnamon, the guy means business with his natural scottish accent.
