In 96/97 I had a couple of their spectrum decks. I think one was 775 and other was a 8... they were my favorite decks hands down .. rn I'm riding the workshop OG burst deck.. soon as I wear it out I will def be buying another workshop spectrum deck again.. Great company!!
They're legit, shape was/still is good, glad you did this one! I remember the decks being hard to kill, and the pocket behind the tail was mellow enough to make scoop tricks (illusion flip-hardflip-tre's) easier to control... They never had cringy graphics or ads, Great video pimpin!
Great review!! I set up my Alien Workshop OG Blast in September and it’s still got plenty of life in it.. I haven’t skated too hard but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed skating AWS, nice full nose! Plus I love the nostalgic resonance AWS create, remembering them from early 2000s like you said 💯💯💯
I was riding Element boards before I quit 20 years ago. Got me a sweet Dinosaur Jr board this year that I love and decided to start skating again. The shapes and graphics are up there with the best. AWS is my brand of choice now and their prices are fair.

AWS and Deathwish two different decks. The kicks and shapes are quite different imo. I have not been able to bring myself to skate a Deathwish even though I love the graphics and skaters
Get the quasi deck next for sure there are two shapes so make sure you pick which you like there is the big shovel noses and then more popsicle / longer nose shaped quasi I love quasi decks
Quasi truly are the best boards in the game I feel. Plus amazing employees working there. Very kind people and amazing graphics and team but more importantly the quality of wood and shapes/concave.
Does anyone know if the completes are any good, ooking to get another set up as my daughter wants to skate. Was guna get her an enuff complete and me an aws maybe. 🇬🇧
Not too sure about the completes, the trucks, wheels and bearings are where they usually cut the cost. Enjoi wouldn't be bad for her. Globe too, as Globe own Tensor which are decent trucks.
Liked the graphic. I’m starting to feel like 14.25” wheel bases might be just a tad short for me personally and gravitating towards 14.5”. I’d love to try a Hockey personally but unless you go 8.75” or bigger they are at 14.25” in wheel base.
@@Damoforce I don’t know if that one is different from any other of their boards but out of all I’ve seen they only ever go up to 14.5” wheel bases on the 8.75”s and then even a 15” on the 9”s. I could ride them with Thunders though to stretch out the effective wheel base a bit.
I’m a heavier ride (217lbs) and I have a girl 8.0 deck and I been looking at alien for a while now and this video is wanting me to commit cuz man this girl deck wore out ina about 3 weeks 😭😭
@@Damoforce it was a specialty deck alien workshop made in the late 2000s darkstar had their own type now it seems its only hybrid or resin 7 i just got an almost resin 7 to try for christmas to see if iits any good i quit skating regrettably for 5 years and now im getting back into it i had to repair my old board with super glue and baking soda to fix the nose and tail

Habitat decks are from the same distributor as alien work shop, and their decks are similar but more mellow you may like them

Graphics are better imo. Same company so could be same same. I'm yet to skate a Habitat. Harder to find for me for some reason.

@@RikRiorik 14.19 on the new 8.44 shape. You could also try Ventures as well they open it up more than Thunders.

BBS/ generator honestly makes the longest lasting decks anything that’s ps stix loses its pop faster to me
BBS are a very stiff deck that's why. And usually steeper kicks. But yeah, alot of my PS Stix boards really flex
