Brandon Nguyen and Joey Guevara straight killed it. And, I'm honestly surprised at how many people are getting upset about the new roster. These guys are insanely good and it's refreshing to see new faces in world of skateboarding. Half the kids on this comment section that are upset about the intro, are most likely just younger kids foolishly claiming to be jaded, like they actually grew up watching workshop in it's inception, like it's the cool thing to say on the internet. That tired opinion is so fabricated. This edit was very well put together. Everyone should be saying hats off to Mike Hill and Miguel Valle for the amazing visuals. Thank you.
bro this video has by far the best sound design out of any alien video. sure i miss dino jr but shorter videos like this don’t have room for it. timecode is a classic, and timecode that doesn’t have dino jr either
+Franklin Same don't understand it as well, it could be because people dwell in the past with old Workshop. I agree that these dudes shred and Mike Hill obviously saw potential in them (most of the time i felt like it's jealously with a little bit of missing the old workshop since most of these kids wants to get sponsor but know they never will). Joey was what Think and Habitat flow before Think went under. I think Paul was on Alien flow before Workshop die, Max was on Stereo and Krooked flow before the Workshop, Brandon was on dwindle flow. It's not like these dudes are just your park kids who ask to get sponsor.
+Franklin I think the issue that people have with this video stems from a lack of personality in this video. The skating is amazing, the filming and production are on par with the old AWS videos, but the thing that this video sorely lacks is the personality of the riders. Thats what made the old AWS so amazing, it was this weird collection of dudes that stood out in certain ways and the video captured it. In this video you never get to see any of the riders personalities and to be honest if there weren't name title cards I wouldn't be able to tell anyone apart. The music is amazing, but its robotic and the same tone throughout the video.
I skate 1 taught me to love alien workshop and I've watched mostly all their tapes but "bunker down" is soothing to my soul and my vision is just concentrated onto this.
Wow. Absolutely loved this. Perfect length, so stylish, names I've never seen and lots of creative skateboarding, trick and spot selections and such a dope aesthetic! Thank you AW and Thrasher!!
the overall synergy between the visual art and incredible sound design is next level. you can tell a lot of hard work went into this. great skating and incredible video
Man. Not just imagining anymore. The new faces of Alien Workshop. The intro was so nostalgic but the part when you see them raise the banners and go inside the building made me feel so weird. Glad the Workshop's back with new guys while keeping the brand's signature style intact. It's just sad knowing the previous generation isn't there to continue the brand's legacy. Long live the Workshop.
seriously, fools who still complain about workshop being revived really need to get off their high horses and appreciate it and skating in general. these dudes rip and so what if some things have changed, everyone from the old team have found their own paths. at least workshop isn't under dyrdek's name anymore
105 idiots disliked this. They do not know what skateboarding is, or where its lonely roots come from. I am very glad to see SECT and Alien Workshop in full force. Great video!
+Chi Huang Alien went under for a while. Chad Bowers former team manager of Alien along with Jake Johnson, Gilbert Crockett, Tyler Bledsoe left to form Quasi (formerly Mother Collective) and AVE, Reider and Dill went to start Fucking Awesome, Omar is not on a board company but has started Doomsayer, Don't know what brand Mikey Taylor is on. Grant Taylor is on Anti-Hero. Heath retire and his team manager of Emerica.
Chi Huang It sucked, I'm pretty sure none of the dude wanted to be off Alien but Dyrdek ended up sort of screwing up Alien and was one of the reason for the demise. I'm not going to be harsh on this new team. I'll give them a chance given Alien has been changing team for the past 25 years they have been around. JJ also express his feelings about it in a recent interview, "Not on a personal level. I shaked his hand and before „Mindfield“ we ate dinner together as a team, but that’s it. From my perspective, this guy has no connection to the brand, except for his checkbook. It’s sad, because he’s not connected to you and me and all the skaters here in Berlin or in America. He doesn’t come to see these things, he doesn’t understand. He knows that it’s powerful, but it’s more powerful to him to be on television, to own a fashion sunglass brand or whatever else. I was excited when other teammembers left, because I thought, the company is small again and we can start all over. But in the end it was all the decision of Rob and I don’t know Rob and so it’s out of my hands."
Editing and videography was really good in this video. It really has the Alien Workshop style that the company has been known to at least much more recently.
especially the music... they put the style that they use back in the days for intros and sequences between the parts to the full video... Sorry but thats horrible for MY ears and destroy the aesthetic from the dope skateboarding...I like it when the skateboarder select the music for his part....
I don't get why people have to always compare new things to old things. Of course this team wont be as good as the old one, that's why they are a new team! Damnn. Old alien worskhop team is dead, give the new team props and enjoy the skating.
Loved it !!! Best skate vid I've seen in a very long time time with so many narly tricks you guys were shredding awesome stuff my next board is defs going to be a alien workshop board keep shredding can't wait for the next vid !!! 🔥🔥🔥
Boy, was I wrong about this video. New stuff not one spot was samey and tribute to that Koston Ledge. Random~ guy-... Beginning to end. Did it even better than Wes Kremer. The best one i've seen yet. The pace kept getting better and switched when ever I started to feel it. approved.
So happy that Alien Workshop is back in the hands of Mike Hill. Say what you will about Dyrdek, but him gifting the workshop back to its creators is a fucking dope move.
If they had a new brand name everyone would love it.New is so in,all these weird new name companies that are small is the trend right now.I give them props for staying true in thier brand.Great riders, killer spots and trick selection.Any one that hates on this crew is just gonna keep the fire burning, but I'm bias om 43 and any company that can last this industry this long is sick.Niel Blender for president.
around 9:29 or 9:28 i started to think i really hate that kind of filming. dunno when getting close enough to tell if the shoe was suade or canvas became a good idea but it mostly causes headaches to me. sick tricks tho
he left when alien workshop was broken, in an Jenkem Magazine Interview (you should watch it) he said he wasn't paid anymore at some point and many team riders left. that led to the 'end'. but I am happy that things are going up again, I love this company
+half burrito who fucking cares? god he sucked ass & made the worst noises when excited...not my cuppa tea is what i'm sayin...so many doper cats saturating the industry...cats who can bomb hills, do big ollies AND all the rest...the rest being the best...
this was rad as fuck, I loved it, the music was different but didn't ruin it for me, it was more atmospheric. I'm still proud to have my aws guy tattooed on me. the company that got me into skateboarding and made me love it
listen to spotify while watching, mute music in video - solved :) Brandon Nguyen, Proper wall ride half way down set. goes well with Jazz Addicts - Flowin
Honestly, these guys rip. Can't compare them with the old alien workshop, that's for sure. These guys are trying to develop the brand's image and I give them props for that. Definitely a hard thing to do. So just watch it with an open mind guys. I feel they've got lots of potential.

If a Workshop video came out, but it didn't have any Dinosaur Jr. in it, did it REALLY come out?
bro this video has by far the best sound design out of any alien video. sure i miss dino jr but shorter videos like this don’t have room for it. timecode is a classic, and timecode that doesn’t have dino jr either
idk why ppl are hating these dudes shred & the shots are nice.
+Franklin Same don't understand it as well, it could be because people dwell in the past with old Workshop. +Franklin the skaters are the only good thing about it , and they're just victims of the vampires of skate industry
+Franklin I think the issue that people have with this video stems from a lack of personality in this video. gfilmer1000 the music is amazing? You're on some good shit
gfilmer1000 yeah these dudes are just fresh meat to suck blood out of and get with the program, and I hated that pseudo artistic intro
brandon nguyen... holy shit that guy can skate
I skate 1 taught me to love alien workshop and I've watched mostly all their tapes but "bunker down" is soothing to my soul and my vision is just concentrated onto this.
This video taught my ears how to cry.
Seriously. I muted the shit, and played my own personal playlist.
+Tint yea Helen Keller picked the music bro.
+Tint I liked the soundtrack. it's different than the other shit . It's Alien after all
Yeah Alien has had horrible music in their videos since after Photosynthesis
+Tint Yeah, couldnt even watch the vid with sound on, WTF
Wow. Absolutely loved this. Perfect length, so stylish, names I've never seen and lots of creative skateboarding, trick and spot selections and such a dope aesthetic! Thank you AW and Thrasher!!
after 8 years I still amazed by the music of this video, love it !
the overall synergy between the visual art and incredible sound design is next level. you can tell a lot of hard work went into this. great skating and incredible video

Amen. Just cause I wear workshop and DC gear people always ask me if I like rob dyrdek.
Pretty fair assumptions tho lol
this ain't it. Let the workshop die peacefully. It was the best run a company has ever had WRT team.
skip to 2:50 for the skateboarding
Photosynthesis and Mind Field changed my life so it's good to have Alien back.
Nice contrast in skating styles for the video. These dudes held it down. Glad to see skateboarding is still alive hell yeah
Joey Guevara 2:48
Frankie Spears 5:47
Paul Liliani 7:28
Max Garson 8:45
Brandon Nguyen 10:48
Really amazing come back from Alien Workshop! Damn! Weird songs, amazing style and a really great skate video!
Like the music.
would've fit the style much better filmed on a vx
cogmid no thanks
notice how the vx clips are the best ones in the video
Goddamn!!! So glad the Workshop is back, this vid was awesome! Frankie Spears and Max Garson's parts were especially nasty, I love there style!
105 idiots disliked this. They do not know what skateboarding is, or where its lonely roots come from. I am very glad to see SECT and Alien Workshop in full force. Great video!
I FEEL LIKE I'M AT THE DENTIST WHEN I WATCH A 👽 WORKSHOP VID.
so happy they came to Detroit..........i got a chance to skate with Brandon and he's so chill. So happy i could watch them and skate with them!!!!!
Kinked back smith!!!
shut up
Shut up
+NinjaLifestyle shut up
Shut the fuck up
+NinjaLifestyle shut up
Skating did not disappoint. Distinct styles, cutty spots, and that handrail 50-50 to nose manual! Music didn't do it for me though.
ah ha sweet, another terrible josh katz comment.
+Josh Katz okay good
+Josh Katz LOL dude
your helmet doesnt do it for me pussy
who cares
I’m 32 and been watching alien workshop videos and buying their decks for 17 years now
I'm glad that these guys are keeping alien workshop alive and true its roots.
2:56 this spot is at yonge and st clair in toronto
I wish the old team was still around. Crockett, Dill, Reider, Pappalardo, AVE, Salazar, ect..
*Rieder
+Chi Huang as with most things in life, follow the money...
+Chi Huang Alien went under for a while. +jeremyshambles AWS went in the crapper! So they split. Had nothing to do with chasing money.
such good talented young skaters. its sad to say i miss the a-team of a few years ago but this company has promised and delivered through the years.
great way to start off my day. THE WORKSHOP IS BACK MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!!!
steezy skating, great camera angles, funky instrumentals. Dope video !
Editing and videography was really good in this video. It really has the Alien Workshop style that the company has been known to at least much more recently.
I back every skater in this video, really nice styles and tricks all the way through
This is the style of skateboarding i like its just so clean
throw away montage is dope. cant wait for the actual vid to drop
Can you do anything better?
Good skating but a bit too much focus on getting the nostalgic AWS feel
I don't think it's nostalgic. Up until they went out of business they've always been like that
especially the music... they put the style that they use back in the days for intros and sequences between the parts to the full video... Sorry but thats horrible for MY ears and destroy the aesthetic from the dope skateboarding...I like it when the skateboarder select the music for his part....

welcome back
Aw man. This video warms my heart so much
Loved it !!! Best skate vid I've seen in a very long time time with so many narly tricks you guys were shredding awesome stuff my next board is defs going to be a alien workshop board keep shredding can't wait for the next vid !!! 🔥🔥🔥
drone music and skateboarding. what a day we live in
Did anyone else notice Alien Workshops entire team is regular?
Welcome back, well done!
Boy, was I wrong about this video. New stuff not one spot was samey and tribute to that Koston Ledge. Random~ guy-... Beginning to end.
Did it even better than Wes Kremer. The best one i've seen yet.
The pace kept getting better and switched when ever I started to feel it.
approved.
Damn I love how good Brandon is at skateboarding. He lands his tricks so clean. And those wallrides were so sick.
love the spots
Damn this was nuts. Hopefully we'll see future footage from these guys!
incredibly good filming and editing!! really good use of HD!
Good fucking come back! You guys are so underated. Great skateboarding
that kicker gap over the fence in Trenton is no joke. sickest trick in the whole video
So happy that Alien Workshop is back in the hands of Mike Hill. Say what you will about Dyrdek, but him gifting the workshop back to its creators is a fucking dope move.
hella sick skating. it's nice to see Alien live.
Yaaaassss Alien is back baby!! cool video

Great skating. Excruciating soundtrack.
12:55 what's the genre of ending song?

this fucking awesome, great reboot by Alien. made my day!
Joey Guevara's footage in this video is so good. God damn
the hard of hearing are gonna love this
Video was way way better than I thought
Whats the music from 2:44
Although seeing Alien back is a little weird after what happened, this vid is a MASTERPIECE!!
It's shame I didn't appreciate the insane gap after the blunt at 5:03 after watching Jaws' part 😂
Shit gave me an awful headache. Skating was awesome, glad to see Alien Workshop put a team back together. But please next time just use a song.
around 9:29 or 9:28 i started to think i really hate that kind of filming. dunno when getting close enough to tell if the shoe was suade or canvas became a good idea but it mostly causes headaches to me. sick tricks tho
Rad skating style on the whole film, but My Highest respect @9:15
what happened to omar salazar
he left when alien workshop was broken, in an Jenkem Magazine Interview (you should watch it) he said he wasn't paid anymore at some point and many team riders left. that led to the 'end'. but I am happy that things are going up again, I love this company
How can we watch an interview that was in a magazine?
+nollieflipcrook Online magazine, just Google it
+half burrito who fucking cares? god he sucked ass & made the worst noises when excited...not my cuppa tea is what i'm sayin...so many doper cats saturating the industry...cats who can bomb hills, do big ollies AND all the rest...the rest being the best...
We wasn't ready for this
''Hitchcock effect'' in Brandon Nguyen part its awsome!
Increible el nivel de los vagos! Name of that tune at the credits?
this was rad as fuck, I loved it, the music was different but didn't ruin it for me, it was more atmospheric. I'm still proud to have my aws guy tattooed on me. the company that got me into skateboarding and made me love it
I enjoyed the shit outa this .. Good hustle Miguel Valle, shot impeccably .. Bravo 👌👌
listen to spotify while watching, mute music in video - solved :)
Brandon Nguyen, Proper wall ride half way down set.
goes well with Jazz Addicts - Flowin
Brandon Nguyen part was the best dude. Goes to my local park everyday. Dude rips.
Ayyyy lmao
What's the name of the first song ?
gotta say I'm really impressed by there team really amazing video
the music reminds me of my dial up internet connection.
how do people actually skate in Converse?
+EMPIRE Not much of a difference from other shoes to be honest, they just get ruined faster and you feel more impact
+EMPIRE i thought that too but once you try them, theres no going back
Ethan Rupp I agree, I love the ankle support and just the feel of em
+Ethan Rupp Yeah I can imagine them being really comfortable to skate in
***** You just explained the difference
I am stoned as hell and still had to mute this. Amazing skateboarding though.
pussy
Anybody know what the majority of the skating was filmed on?
Every skater in this vid has crazy good style and that's what skating is about! Fuck anyone who hates on this! Max Garson's part kills
front shove nose manual was splendid! don't see too many of those in these days of modernity
guys u know what melody song is 12:49
So whatever happened to alien workshop I haven’t been hearing about them lately
Every shot in this video was perfect, even the mix of vx footage wasnt to weird. Fuck yeh worskshop
fav skate set
That front 3 was trippy.. not to mention the wall rides..
Honestly, these guys rip. Can't compare them with the old alien workshop, that's for sure. These guys are trying to develop the brand's image and I give them props for that. Definitely a hard thing to do. So just watch it with an open mind guys. I feel they've got lots of potential.
to be on alien it seems you must be regular and have perfect back smiths
Brandon is killing it!
Absolutely awesome
Just wondering does anyone what camera this is?
All these dudes skate regular!🔥
tell some of the songs used please
