    Water dragons are my all time fave lizards, they grow to a good size and there is so much you can do regarding enclosures, super cool water features etc, loads of climbing opportunities. Love their first started enclosure, cant wait to watch their growth and journey xx

    I've never seen baby ones before! They kinda look like bearded dragons when they're little, I guess all agamas have that same kind of head shape. Super long tails 😂
    I didn't know they are communal, or can live in pairs, super cool. Between these guys and the Chinese water dragon, I think these guys are cooler.

      He’s my little shadow at the moment and I love every minute of it! He may not love it as much as I do long term but if he grows up with a healthy respect for nature and animals then I’ve done my job.

    Great to see someone else enjoying water dragons. Ive got one myself and I’ve had her for just over 12 years. I will say it’s been a challenge but a very rewarding journey. I will say mine is kept indoors however there’s a story behind that so I’ll keep this comment short. I do encourage people to own them however just know they aren’t as easy to tame like a bearded dragon, took me a couple years to gain for full trust of my water dragon.

    Such a cool video. I agree with you about them being underrated. They aren't talked about much at all. I absolutely live them. My partner and I live in Qld on the Gold Coast. We have a lot here around the whole 100 townhouse estate. Even with so many people around. We have 3 current regular water dragons who we're in love with. They do love a good ole yummy woodie or 2 😋. Little man is such a cutie 🖤

      @BeachesScalyBeasts yeah man! Have read a fair bit of people cooking theirs accidentally, they seem prone to heat spikes. But definitely cool, I know some people have had great success keeping them outdoors. Same with Boiga irregularis. All the best with the water dragons man!

      @BeachesScalyBeasts ps - blows your mind seeing an entirely jet black common tree snake in person but boy they're out there! People rave about the blue ones as did I until I saw a black one in a private collection. Un-effing-believable.

    Your son has grown so much, he is adorable. I bought an Eastern Water Dragon and he was as small as yours, he is an amazing reptile and he has got such a personality, love him to bits. I bought a large puppy play pen and he loves to exercise in there. I named my boy Raptor because they look prehistoric, very
    similar to a velocity raptor.

    quick question what are some of the cheapish dragons/skinks you can keep in a 60-60-60 enclosure full time

    • @BeachesScalyBeasts
      @BeachesScalyBeasts  2 месяца назад +1

      Potentially mountain or Heath dragons. Or a netted if you can find them.
