9-4102R was the model number we used, but we've since swapped them out for custom made Delrin bushings. You can see these in the video where we reinstalled box. ruclips.net/video/lpzkHvQA-t8/видео.html
First, thank you for sharing your build : ) DIY builds like this are not that common. I think that some of the issues with the foam core come from the Dowboard surface. I am thinking the composite delaminates if the surface is not prepped right. Some score it with a brush. I am aware that Styromax and others use a special board, not available here, which has no coating on the surface. Their results are good.
I made step by step videos showing how I built this whole camper, maybe you can watch those videos and save me the time of typing it out in the comment section.
So inspiring and useful to see your engineering! Thanks a bunch! I wonder why you chose flex in the back and not in the front of the box.. any reason for that?
No profound reason... The Crane that originally lived on this chassis had a set of mounts at the front, and the bumper seemed like the best place in along the centerline of the truck to pivot and flex. It could have been done either way in fact.
I just recently came across y’all in my feed, and man and am I impressed! I own a small fabrication company and am building my e350 currently. Y’all are awesome! Keep doing videos!!!!
Hello watch and fallow you r build it is very inspirational and i finding myself planning a build in the future i would like to know where did you find the front clip with bulging fenders or what make are they
Wow I'm watching these totally out of order, but this one makes a heap of the others make more sense. The build is amazing no mater where I look, its all so damn impressive
If you want a window, you can add a virtual window by putting a camera on the side of the truck and show the video on a flat screen inside on the wall. You can also put any beach video on the screen or Machu Picchu video.
Hi there, I always enjoy your videos and stories on You Tube. I’m curious about the tires/wheels on your rig. Did you do the single wheel conversion yourself, or did someone help you with that. I found a US company online that will do the complete conversion (Buckstop), and living in Canada I’m not sure if this is a possibility with our border rules. Or if there is a Canadian company that can do a conversion. Thank you, Dan.
@@Everlanders The website I was looking at said the internal frame, fender and body needed some cutting so the tires wouldn’t rub? Have you installed a lift as well, and do the front tires ever rub on the truck itself? And thanks for such a prompt reply.
We cut no frame, fender or body, as I've already mentioned, the wheels bolt on... We ran with stock suspension for 2 years, later we put on some different springs for a softer ride, this raised the truck about 2 in, but it wasn't necessary for the tires. This is all been covered in our build videos...
I've been following along with you guys for awhile now and have found a ton of inspiration here. I'm considering building something similar to Beastie and wondered if you could go into more detail on why you feel it's important to build on the F550. Not saying it's the right thing to do, but I've seen a similar build done on an F250. Any info would be super!
The F-250 only had a 3380lb payload capacity and doesn't have flat frame rails. They hump over the rear axle. I'd seen too many builds with insufficient brakes or grossly over the GVWR to risk it. My philosophy was to overbuild rather then risk it.
Approximately what kind of fuel economy are you getting? And at what speeds? Also what kind of speeds can you run on a big highway? Thanks for posting all these videos!
@@Everlanders Wow that is way better than I expected. Well done! I ran a picker truck for the oil field in Regina for a few years and I'm in love with your build and all the amazing electronics you have going on.
Hi, I love your videos. thank you so much. you're very talented but I was soooooo disappointed I didn't totally understand how your anti torsion works. I saw some done on unimog. but never seen your setup before. can you explain again why you put the yellow stuff and how the nematic bags work. are they in the back, front? how much pressure do you put in them during off road.
Everyone seems to change out the dualies to a single rear wheel, but I would think the weight is distributed better on the dual rear wheels? I guess you can't fit 41 inch tires next to each other?
With the walls being honeycombed but not filled, how well does it stay cool or warm when you want it to be either warm or cool? I think the rig y'all have built is very cool. Great work.
I bet you have used that UHMW in woodworking also, yes? Can you name some of the manufacturers for the honeycomb panels? I was thinking I might use something similar for cabinet construction, like they doin yachts.

I am thinking the composite delaminates if the surface is not prepped right. Some score it with a brush. I am aware that Styromax and others use a special board, not available here, which has no coating on the surface. Their results are good.
Did you already have most of the equipment to build your camper ?
It seems seamless, if it is how did you manage that ?
I made step by step videos showing how I built this whole camper, maybe you can watch those videos and save me the time of typing it out in the comment section.
So inspiring and useful to see your engineering! Thanks a bunch! I wonder why you chose flex in the back and not in the front of the box.. any reason for that?
No profound reason... The Crane that originally lived on this chassis had a set of mounts at the front, and the bumper seemed like the best place in along the centerline of the truck to pivot and flex. It could have been done either way in fact.
@@Everlandersi see, thanks! I guess it also saves you space over the drivers cabin since it doesn't flex there.. :)
Nice flex iso pot design. So the cab just has a single attachment point? Is that pot rig only on one end or fore and aft?
Just on the rear...
I just recently came across y’all in my feed, and man and am I impressed! I own a small fabrication company and am building my e350 currently. Y’all are awesome! Keep doing videos!!!!
Hello watch and fallow you r build it is very inspirational and i finding myself planning a build in the future i would like to know where did you find the front clip with bulging fenders or what make are they
These where made my McNeil Racing.
terrific job congratulations nice job
Wow I'm watching these totally out of order, but this one makes a heap of the others make more sense. The build is amazing no mater where I look, its all so damn impressive
Would love to chat with y’all about your build. I have so many questions. I’m wanting to do my own build.
We did everything ourselves, there's nothing to convert, you just bolt them on...
@@Everlanders
The website I was looking at said the internal frame, fender and body needed some cutting so the tires wouldn’t rub? Have you installed a lift as well, and do the front tires ever rub on the truck itself?
And thanks for such a prompt reply.
We cut no frame, fender or body, as I've already mentioned, the wheels bolt on... We ran with stock suspension for 2 years, later we put on some different springs for a softer ride, this raised the truck about 2 in, but it wasn't necessary for the tires. This is all been covered in our build videos...
@@Everlanders will go back to your build videos, thank you, Dan.
I am so glad ,l came across you guys . Thanks !
Incredible build.
Many thanks!
Approximately what kind of fuel economy are you getting? And at what speeds? Also what kind of speeds can you run on a big highway? Thanks for posting all these videos!
14L/100Km, @ 100km/h is where it's happy.
@@Everlanders Wow that is way better than I expected. Well done! I ran a picker truck for the oil field in Regina for a few years and I'm in love with your build and all the amazing electronics you have going on.
Where is Sask are you from?
Extremely cool
Hi, I love your videos. thank you so much. you're very talented but I was soooooo disappointed I didn't totally understand how your anti torsion works. I saw some done on unimog. but never seen your setup before. can you explain again why you put the yellow stuff and how the nematic bags work. are they in the back, front? how much pressure do you put in them during off road.
I can't explain it any clearer than that ...
Hello there! Just curious, how much did the build cost you?
I stopped counting at $5,000
Everyone seems to change out the dualies to a single rear wheel, but I would think the weight is distributed better on the dual rear wheels? I guess you can't fit 41 inch tires next to each other?
There are alot of considerations that go into Super Singles... We're shooting a video on wheels and tires now... Stay Tuned!
Nice!
With the walls being honeycombed but not filled, how well does it stay cool or warm when you want it to be either warm or cool?
I think the rig y'all have built is very cool. Great work.
It's still R7 or so... We have no problems heating with the Espar D2 or Cooling with the Forrest Air 8000BTU AC, which we run from our solar...
I bet you have used that UHMW in woodworking also, yes? Can you name some of the manufacturers for the honeycomb panels? I was thinking I might use something similar for cabinet construction, like they doin yachts.
I would not recommend UHMW for a truck like this, much to heavy.
New here. Thanks again
Did you guys have to change out the rear hubs too?if so..was that also part of ricksons deal?
No, stock Dana135
Did we ever hear details about "Everland Control? Systems, Inc." ? Is that panel your own creation? @4:41
It was, Yes. but no details still exist... Sorry.
How wide is it to the outside of your wheels/tires? Curious about the super singles and how they change that width.
90" wide.
@@Everlanders Quick response. Thank you. Thinking of putting my 1975 F250 crew cab on a similar chassis.
I see your panel brand on the hard sides trailer was Everlander!
