- So then, me and Jay hit Ashdown MX on the hottest day of the year!
Jay is a proper novice, no bike licence and this was his 4th time out on his WR250! Did pretty bloody well didn't he.
I'm fresh off a previous event injury and really felt it too.
It was a cracking day though and the track was amazing. Scary as hell but amazing!
This is bloody brilliant i just brought my first yz125 yesterday will be going here on sunday for my first ever time off road cant bloody wait
That's a good choice of bike mate. Hope you have a blast.
Raced here loads as a kid in the 80s with VWHSSC. Your reaction reminds me of any school friend that came to watch!!! Takes me back...
Has the track changed in that time?
Thanks for the tour definitely on my to do list 👍
It's definitely something that has to be seen/experienced to believed that's for sure. It's got a great location so should be safe from closure by the council too.
@@dynamotightstar3472 brilliant 👍
I loved your reaction to the hill I did the same thing going here for the first time years ago 😂
It proper shocked me! 🤣🤣 Cracking place though isn't it. Do you still go there?
Went Thursday just gone was very wet but such a good track full throttle down them banks mate
Glad you had a blast mate.
Was 1st time on a track shame the weather was atrocious but made the best of it only 4 riders on the track
That's got to be the cheapest private hire ever 😃
@@dynamotightstar3472 1 other bike showed up when we was wrapping up he says he goes every other Thursday and has the track to himself
The hills are awesome, I prefer the woods loop though, just getting my confidence in there now after a few visits
Can you do the woods without the rest of the track? There's some big jumps through the woods aren't there. I've not made it back there as yet.
Brilliant for keeping it real. Nice one.
Thanks Patrick, much appreciated. 😃
Quality vid mate! Need to get myself over there at some point
Cheers mate, it's definitely an experience! 🤣
Looks so good, been loads but am going again on the 22nd! Should be a good day!
Ah man, it was amazing. Scary as shit but amazing!
Hope you have a wicked time man, I'm at stag do that week but definitely got to go again. Ride safe 👊
🤣🤣🤣 Great video mate keep up the good work 👏🏽
Heading there tomorrow on the new 125 so scream that around there as best I can haha
Have a good one mate. 👊
Going there in 4 days, weather looking good. Can’t wait for the hill 😂
Have you been before? It's f#ckin nuts! 🤣
@@dynamotightstar3472 nahhh, but my mate has and all that I gathered from him was that the cameras don’t do it justice as to how steep it actually is 😂 but definitely looking forward to it.
@@thatuser101 he ain't wrong. The first set of jumps just after the start are massive. Then the valley is just something else entirely. Have fun mate and let me know how you got on. 😃
This is the track for the enduro event on the 19th then?
I didn't read into it any further. I thought it was on the 5th and not the 19th. They're always on weekends I have my boy.
We need to get this man on Foxhills 😅
Immediately no! Just watched a vid of it. 🤣🤣🤣
@@dynamotightstar3472 You’ll love it I promise! 😅
Them triples have changed landings are more steeper now
They were already too steep for me! 🤣
i want to go there so bad just gotta get my bike sorted then ima 100% go i wanna try the hill as a new ish rider
What's up with your bike? That track is totally nuts. Makes me wish I'd been able to do this is a kid. You could have some serious fun around that track. And going with the right people too. I now ride with people that can ride this stuff fast. I'll get back there one day I'm sure.
@@dynamotightstar3472 my bike should be all fixed now the carb had some problems. im trying to get there sometime in the next 3 months just hard because i aint got my license yet
Haha nice vid , I remember my first time at ash down , kinda shit my pants a bit with that big hill lol
That hill is nuts isn't it! I remember Jay saying that's it's similar to the hill at Houghton conquest! Is it buggery! 🤣🤣 That hills is similar to Snowdon! 🤣🤣
Haha , yeah it’s crazy old track , we done it in the rain once , the mug was mental , could barley get round the track ,
My mate that is 55 came , he didn’t even make it up the big hill 😂
@@robhayter484 man, that would suck so bad in the mud! Poor ol' boy, all that way too. How do you get back if you can't go up the hill? 🤣
@@dynamotightstar3472 yeah poor bastard 😂
My mate literally jumped on his cr , kicked it over and floored it up for him 😂,
Never again would I go there in the mud and pissing rain lol
The camera really doesn’t do the hills justice they are mental
@@dill_jle they definitely are mental that's for sure.
This looks like great fun. I have a weird urge to take my 790 round the track…
Mate! I want to take your 790 on track too! I'm looking at buying one currently. Give me the good news but not the bad! 😃
@@dynamotightstar3472 I love mine. The traction control and low centre of gravity massively flatter me as a rider. Such a capable bike. If you take it on the trails it’s worth putting a smaller sprocket on the front, and an after market exhaust helps it pull better at low revs. Anakee Wilds work well on it, and lots of people swear by the Motoz Rall Zs.
@@Rupe that is high praise indeed dude. Now, would you choose it over your husky? Obviously I now ride the KTM 350 and not the Fantic. If I could green lane a 790/890r then I wouldn't need the EXC-F 350
@@dynamotightstar3472 It has to be both, I think. A 200kg bike is always going to be a handful when it gets properly slippery and muddy, and it is harder work throwing it around, but it’s more rewarding too. Sometimes you just want an easy life with a bike 90kg lighter.
@@Rupe ok then, so say for example that you choose to only have one bike. Which do you choose?
I've got the EXC-F 350 añd an Aprilia Shiver 750. Surely the 790R would be the perfect one bike solution for those 2? 🤷🏼
Yes lad I was the same mad as fuck init
It is absolutely mental mate! 🤣 Was it your first time there too?
Yeah I would of fell about 6 times by the first downhill part!!🤣🤣😂
That track was brutal man. 🤣🤣 I was sore for days after that place! 🤣🤣
the go pro really doesn’t show how steep this track really is (it’s called go pro affect, like sometimes it’ll look really steep in real life but not too steep on a camera, same with jumps i’ll feel like i’ve done a massive jump look back at the video and i barley left the floor lol, have fun riding tho bro
Have you been there too Brad? It was bloody brutal! 🤣🤣 The ground was rock hard too.
@@dynamotightstar3472 yeah i’ve rode there a couple times (i’m a beginner) and holy i had the exact same reaction when i saw the massive hills lol
Proper steep ain't they! 🤣🤣 I wanna go back but I'm a bit worried I'll get carried away now I know the track.
@@dynamotightstar3472 aha you should! it’s a very fun track and good for building up confidence, just go steady and don’t rush to learn new things like jumps and stuff, they all come with riding time, just need a lot of hours on the seat
That is very true. Fucked my last jump up big time and still not quite got over that yet. It'll come but it won't be anytime soon I don't think.
I’m going Sunday haha
It's an amazing place that's for sure! I've still not made it back there as yet. It's a bit of a trek from here.
Hahahah that made me laugh
geeeez, I just started the video and i am booking a flight to come ride that track. This will probably be edited by the time the video is through. Okay lets get started. Excuse the swearing? I do believe it is warranted..lol...@26:05,,Did you say you hit a brick, or shat a brick?😂
It's such a cool track dude! Let me know your arrival time and I'll meet you at the airport! 😃😃
It really is warranted too on this one isn't it. And the GoPro doesn't tell the whole story either. 😃
I did hit a brick but I most likely shat several bricks too! 🤣
Nice last lap there mate. It’s not easy when your hands give up on you. The track is a brutal one on your body. Check my lap out from a month ago in very wet conditions. I think you’ll appreciate it as you have been there now. 👊 subscribed.
The left one still isn't quite right, it's been a month since I last rode though now so with any luck it's well on its way to healing but you are totally right, that track is brutal. It's just non stop. No nice long easy straights 😃
God, I'll bet that was hard when it's muddy. That hill was slippery from them watering it but a rain soaked one must be horrible.
Cheers man, I'll reciprocate. 👊
🤣😂
