He is literally the incarnation of Death,a force of nature itself. His whistle differs in perspective:if you lived your life well and were a good person,death will greet you peacefully. Those that fear death and have done wrong,however,are definetely going to have panic attack and feel their worst nightmare stare into their eyes.

Theory:
Maybe Perrito isn't as oblivious as he acts, but feels he needs to be happy for everyone else's sake. I mean, he **is** a therapy dog.
He tries to lighten the mood.
When Puss was having a panic attack, Perro knew exactly what to do without any of his usual jokes. A gentle hug, and listening to his problems.
Agreed - look at his reactions to Big Jack Horner at the end. He didn't try to appeal to Jack's inner humanity, or to meaningfully change him, but to distract him so the others could take him down. Perrito showed no remorse over Jack's death. Perrito actively chooses to be upbeat and optimistic and friendly, and it _works_ for him. He's not secretly sad and putting on a mask for everyone else, or else the map wouldn't have been so nice to him. He understands the dark side of the world, and decides to look for beauty anyway. He's the opposite of Jack Horner.
Incidentally, that's why he's my favorite character, despite me being a clinically depressed 24-year-old. The video is definitely wrong about me.
Perrito’s my favourite because he’s the friend who sticks around and always the optimistic one who I feel like hides his personal pains to listen and just be there for his friends, even offering useful advises. Under appreciated at times but the absolute loyal treasure anyone can ask for. I really like how he knows when to give advice or try lighten the mood and when to just be there
kitty softpaws carried the movie for me tbh the way her relationship with puss was handled better than the majority of romance movies it was a blast and shes adorable
In fact, the ONE thing I didn’t like about the movie is that there WASNT ENOUGH OF THIS SHIP!!! I need more PussxKitty!!!

I honestly think that Jack Horner is the perfect fictional villain, too many villains have sad backstories nowadays and it get's awfully dull as it's usually the same thing all the time. However, Jack Horner has no genuinely evil backstory apart from being the least favorite performer, he's simply just being evil and is hilarious doing it, we need more villains like Jack Horner.

Death is my favorite villain of all time. Besides the fact that I adore his song and looked forward to his scenes just to hear the whistle, he's one of the best written antagonists I've seen in a while

We do, after all, live in an age of creative and artistic bankruptcy, the time of cash grabs and assembly-line sequels galore. In spite of this, I can say with confidence that Puss In Boots: The Last Wish is, for lack of a more eloquent term, a perfect film. The script is wholly original, the performances are passionately acted and the animation is fluid as ever. With these factors among others, DreamWorks was able to create a truly profound and surprisingly poignant epic in Puss In Boots: The Last Wish.
This movie is up there with Maverick.
All I thought when he said Puss in Boots was that he'd just slap "Who is your favorite fearless hero" in loop. That's right I got Death's whistle stuck in my head.

My favorite is Death, but just because he’s such an iconic villain. I only feel respect for him.
I actually had this movie on repeat last night. And I dreamt the scene where Puss was having his panic attack in the forest. And when Perrito caught up to him, instead of calming him down himself, he ended up running to go find something that would calm Puss down. To which Death caught up to Puss and killed him, and for some reason my dream decided to have Puss's ghost find Perrito and kill him outta pure pettiness.

Everything about him cool as hell
His whistle (I mean, come on)
Perfect amount of spooks that I can handle

I like goldilocks because of her backstory and how she became a better person in the end, i mean she is still a villain but she cares more about her family that about anyone else.
I've not seen this movie yet so I'm going off of what I've seen from memes and designs. I adore goldilocks's design. idk why, it just is a vibe and I love it. Death is genuinely terrifying and I love it. Big jack horner is rediculous and tbh is one of the first irredeemable, evil-for-the-sake-of-being-evil, antagonists I've seen in a kids movie in a long time and I dig that. And I always love a buff guy with a mustache.

Puss, Kitty, Perrito, and death are my favorites. I actually do say "I am puss in boots" at random with my siblings lol, and I do have a mix of fear, respect, and (aesthetic) attraction when it comes to Death too. Perrito is so funny and Kitty is just...so cool. No, amazing- (Puss is #1)
