When i was a kid I lived in Crystal Palace in south London and there was a junk shop in the High Street and he had a large china bowl - I think it must have been a Victorian wash bowl - with hundreds of odd coins in it. They were a ha'penny each or you could get FIFTEEN for sixpence. Many, many Napoleon III 5 and 10 centimes and dozens of German coins from the Hitler years some of which were aluminium and some a dull grey metal (zinc?), WW1 Belgian centimes and the odd Chinese coin with a square hole in the middle. My brother and I had loads, I wonder where they all disappeared to?
Hi man ,i love your chanel and your love for this coins you know that coin collecting is not just abought gold, silver and expensive coins .I am from a small country and here i dont have many ways to buy coins just if i see them on our local site for people to post some ads and with slightly higher prices, but what can be done,i like these coins ,so i buy them when i have money ,since i am very young and currently unemployed because im still going to school I was extremely surprised when I found your channel and when I saw how you go through so many of these coins that I like to collect by date I don't know how you get so many at once it is honestly my dream to go through a bunch of coins like this and organize them in my collection, I honestly understand why you won't say how you get them, even though I admit that I would like to know. So I will at least try my hand at this prize game, if I can at least win this collection, if God willing I win, I will leave my instagram and gmail through which you can to let me know thank you for your efforts for these clips, keep it up.♥
Great to have some more penny hunts coming up. Since starting watching your hunts I've started my own penny quest to find a date run plus variants. Found two 1916 recessed ears in my charity shop at the weekend. Never knew about them before these videos
I do so enjoy watching these videos, I am from Upstate NY, but I am a Canadian and U.K. collector from 1971 when I first found Canadian and then the world coin book at my local coin shop!!! I used to and still do pull all Canadian out of my change and I have been looking on line for my U.K. coins. Problem is that I have no dealer who has folders or albums for them in My area. I have to go to the bigger cities to find anything about an hour to an hour and half away. Love your videos by the way!!! Gary Bailey
Hit a 1000 subscribers 3 years ago, 23 thousand now. All that knowledge and information shared to all those people. Great videos. Keep them coming ... especially those penny hunts😊
Great to see Part 3 in this series-- and very generous of you to fill the last four gaps yourself... It could be some while before we get down to that stage!
I wonder why so many Jerseys get into those boxes. Ive managed to get more pre decimal British coins than current ones, lol. There rather rare in Au, Beau.
Hi Paul thanks again for another nice video and as always I hope you and your family are keeping well. The board is filling up very nicely.thank you from JRS.
Thought you were holding back on us not putting the 1902 (almost turned into a keyboard warrior, I was poised) 😂 Yes Paul concentrate 🤣 Nice to see 3 more ✅ off 😊 Great stuff 👍🏻
Cool. These vids are both calming and fun, plus I’m learning a bit about British pennies!!. Not that we get that many down this way. Love your work. Cheers
1944's like London buses!! 😁 Maybe consider putting the dirty 1926 on the board until a better one comes along 🤔. I liked the Jersey coins, the Greek one, and that good condition French 10 Centimes. Great video 👍
None from '67 yet - there's a surprise! Lovely coins and just the right size for conjuring tricks as it's a gnat's whisker away from the size of the American half dollar so it's great for "switching". I'll say the 1951 is hard to find but I do know somebody who has one. His family came over from the Caribbean in the mid 1950s but he, like me, was born in 1951 and has a boxed set of coins from a farthing through to a half crown given as a Christening present - all uncirculated but slightly tarnished from 72 years behind glass. When you think of the number of pockets and purses some of those coins have been through!
Thanks Paul for another Penny Hunt Fix! I so look forward to your 1d vlogs. Lets hope there are many good finds in the box & its not been picked thru.. Keep up your terrific penny hunts.
Good to see your main supplier is back in action. It’s always interesting when the old-style George iii halfpennies turn up in these hunts, even though they’re usually a bit worse for wear.
Thanks for continuing the series! I still cannot believe you get less clicks when numbering your videos. Anyways, some great coins, particularly love the Greek coin!
Thanks for taking the time to create content. I sit at my desk working, listening mostly to your work. I've started collecting this year in the UK so i find the nuances very interesting. Obviously i'd also like to win your giveaway competion on your your 12th video of the 29th sept 2024 .
Another session of searching through handfuls of old 'coppers', I wonder how many currently issued coins will be looked through in 150+ years from now? Good to see you back again Paul
Good to see you acquired a large quantity of of pennies hope this will complete the board quite a few none uk coins keep up the good work Paul cant wait for your next video 👍👍👍🍺🍺🍺
Looking forward for the next one. I love seeing such old coins from other countries. I do hope I win the lot but with my luck it can’t be much. Good work😊
I'd love all the knowledge you have about these things. Incredible.
Whenever I see a coin issued during WW2, I can't but help think about what people were going through during that period
Same here it’s what got me into coin collecting in the first place thinking of the people who had these coins and what they went through
Exactly so, a used coin, from that, or any period, indicates experiences we today can only wonder at.....

1944's like London buses!! 😁 Maybe consider putting the dirty 1926 on the board until a better one comes along 🤔. I liked the Jersey coins, the Greek one, and that good condition French 10 Centimes. Great video 👍
There's bound to be a better 1926 turn up Glen. If not I'll fish it out and add it to the board 👍
Brilliant Paul 👏 I love the 1882 Greek Lepta, you don’t see those often! The upgrade on the 1893 was amazing too
None from '67 yet - there's a surprise!
