fr my music taste grew with quadeca, i used to bump like Wii Music fire and like Lil Pump and like garbage artists but as he’s grown so has my taste and it’s mad rewarding
same, i thought voice memos was great at its time, it does sound a bit dated now. I always thought quad was crazy talented, even on his Out of Order album you can hear the potential.

While KSI is beefing with Jacksfilms for reacting while making mediocre albums/songs about Summer, Quadeca took the time to learn the game to get higher reception and respect, something JJ won't get if he keeps going mainstream despite how much he pleads Fantano.

@@blazecraze3652 There's nothing wrong with wanting to be mainstream if that's the music KSI wants to make then good for him. Not every artist has to make an album this experimental and ambitious if KSI likes performing fun pop and rap songs in front of huge crowds then more power to him. He's never gonna get the same level of praise that Quad is gonna get but there's nothing wrong with making that kind of music. There's a place for both
so glad to see you enjoyed this one, it was legitimately beautiful to me and still managed to pack some bangers

I think it’s actually close to a 9 for me too and, yet, I can see Quadeca going higher than this. It’s insane how he can still get better when he’s already one of the best and most creative creators in the internet era.

Excellent album from Quadeca, I absolutely loved it. Undoubtedly one of the best albums of 2022.
After 2 listens, this shit's a 10 to me. Watched the movie on first listen, paid attention to lyrics the second time around, and it's just ridiculous. I am not expecting ANY chat from ANY reviewer to like it though.

I was not expecting music critics like Brad to enjoy this THAT much. I thought it was incredible but had an inkling that people like brad and fantano wouldn't like this project very much, but a 9- is incredible.

Really really surprised by this album. Hope Quadeca fans don't take us that have some MINOR issues too much to heart. It's far from perfect or completely consistent lyrically but it's such an atmospheric, emotional album with terrific production.
Believe me when I say that for quadeca fans, getting non-fan critics to give the album a 9- is beyond satisfying

I agree, i dont understand how people in chat saw this as corny (maybe a couple of the first songs at a push), or "fake deep", but when you really think about the concept of the album it could be SO MUCH WORSE. There are VERY few musicians who can take this concept and pull it off with this much class

i disagree heavy with you sayin "you can tell its self produced"... Just because something doesn't sound mainstream doesnt make it obvious that it's self produced. Quadeca used to make the most squeaky clean pop rap you have ever heard in your life, something that sounded like it should be on the radio, but it wasn't. I didn't really like his stuff then, but he has the ability to sound professional, and it's pretty clear that the production choices on here, making it sound more lofi and distorted were intentional. It has nothing to do with him not being talented in production, because he is extremely talented in it.

Been listening to quadeca since he was actually just a RUclips rapper and didn't have any music out on spotify yet and seeing him grow as both an artist and a person has been a wonderful experience.
I slept on him for about 4 years. Shocked when I heard this. Gonna check out his previous album at some stage

this is the most wild day of my life... brad colliding with quadeca and giving it the score he did is insane to me. been listening to quad since maybe right before "voice memos" dropped back in 2019 and never thought brad would ever make a video on him tbh. glad as many of you guys, including brad, enjoyed this album as much as i did/will continue to. :D

I feel like the reason why Quadeca can make something so amazing so early on not only because of his dedication, but his understanding of criticism. He watches reactions of his own songs and takes that criticism and applies it to his own songs. I genuinely think that he can improve and keep on going.
ngl i really feel like the rise of the term "corny" has kinda ruined a lot of music critique. it's like walking a line, if the artist doesn't put enough passion in then we call it soulless, and if they put too much passion in we call it corny. idk maybe I'm just bitching, but i feel like it's giving a rise to bad faith "critique" instead of us giving any given project its fair chance. smth to think about
People can never be genuine on the internet anymore. Everyone and everything have to have the same smell of tired cynicism or else it's cringe. The only thing exempt from this rule are things with nostalgia, which milk that to some degree.

my initial listen reminded me SO much of jane remover’s frailty, especially in a lot of the production and vocal styles

I always knew Quadeca was gonna level up. The potential he showed in Sisyphus gave us glimpses of what he could become. But fuck me has he surpassed that expectation with flying colors. Didn't think he was gonna go full experimental but glad he did. Phenomenal album!
It's great to see from quadeca. With From Me To You he showed so much potential to be a great and unique artist. Im glad to say that this album proves that and he truly made something with passion and soul. I'm really excited to see how he improves as a producer and artist in the future.

I love the occasional serious Danny Brown verse so for that alone this album is already a W in my book
But also in general this is just very beautiful on a first time listen, I will definitely be listening to this one a couple more times this year
I recommend watching the album movie. I personally just don't frequently listen to music like Quadeca's but his filmmaking is absolutely beautiful and elevates the music

this album hella grew on me, i thought "its okay" now its now one of my favs
listened to the album on stream, and i was actually vibing with it (even though i did have issues and other people in chat weren't liking it), quadeca has definitely leveled up a lot during this album.
Hearing some of his old songs to what we have now is wild. Huge props to him and his drive
broke a few times during this album. I agree with the instrumentals sounding a little like trap with the hi-hats and kicks but it always comes back with some beautiful texture. The premise and meaning of the album hit me so hard since I solved it myself, the moment of self realization hits so much harder then some youtube comment. Album of the year for me
I’ve never been a huge fan of this kid, but this album is just on another level. I don’t know what it is about it, it’s so different from anything I’ve ever heard before… I absolutely love it. I’ve been obsessing over it. I listened to it front to back like 6-7 times at work. 4 days straight. It’s definitely my favorite album of 2022.

This is one of the best albums of 2022, easily, and the one that got the most emotion out of me. It was well-produced, well-written, just amazing. Absolutely stunning. Breathtaking. Any other adjective I need to convey my love for this.
