One speed sensor and 2 XOR gates into gimbal thrusters are really all you need these days. Speed sensor and 1 of the logic gates goes into a second logic gate, set both logic gates to a keybind for when you want to go down, and connect the logic gate that is getting signal from the other two pieces of logic to all the gimbal thrusters. Done and dusted.
