Very very nice work, I love working with wood also but I believe you to be my master in woodworking and finish work very quality job the more I see what you have done the more I want to buy your catamaran
Looks great guys. Like I said before. It won't be long and you will be bolting everything back together for the last time.....WOOHOO! No Doubt you are already back in the water now. Cheers. Wade.
Stick with it, it’s always an epic journey to get everything together, pod looks like it’s always been there.... keep up the good work from sunny Cornwall in the UK...
Great job Guys!, I had planed to build a monohull this coming year, but due to some location constraints been thinking of a Tangaroa, but as you said is very exposed to the elements on the deck.... this pod is awesome and makes me feel like the tangaroa design might work well. Thank you for this video and showing how things are going. Thumbs up!!
Great job on the pod and the rest of Tanga's reno's i always thought that BOAT stood for "bring -out-another - thousand ' but i heard another one the other day which cracked me up, Boat stand's for '' bend over and take it '' !!! classic once again you guys are doing an excellent job and your videos are very enjoyable to watch i always look forward to the next one cheers Andy
GAME CHANGER! all that extra windage might let us stand a chance against you in those light winds! haha oh wait... spinnaker..... damn. Keep it up dudes, looks AMAZING, can't wait to see it all done
Great job guys, looking forward to seeing it in action. Again super job on the LOVE POD ha ha. Seriously it will all be worth it. From the Florida swamp, fair winds 👍👍🍺🍺🍺🍺💕💟🐾
Fricken AMAZING!! I love it !! It is going to be so beautiful when completed. I can not wait to see it completed. Thats some talent to get it to all line up lots of hard work. It will definitely be well worth all the hard work😉
I have plans for a Tangaroa, with a ketch rig. I have thought about starting to build it but it is a huge project. It is a pretty minimal boat but the pod could make it more livable.
Beautiful job! She's going to be a comfortable cruiser now. Wondering how much it will lower the waterline? Looking forward to the update videos. Glad I found this sight. Best of luck from Vancouver.
Really well thought out, the pod looks great and you`ve managed to maximise everything in all the right places. Excellent job, and another excellent video from the `Tangaroas` :-)
love you're videos. design and craftsmanship of the pod is very good. I can give you my experience with glassing, I have alot, im not telling you what to do, not trolling(too old for that sh*t), just helping you guys and anyone that reads this. Just a small tip. Ok, @ around 6.00mins pulling the peel ply the glass has alot of dry spots in it, should be ok though, next time wet the peel ply out more, soak more resin into it. to get the best resin to glass strength ratio, is to weigh the glass cloth that is required for a lay up, then use the same weight of resin/hardner and a little bit extra for the peel ply. always peel ply for outside surfaces, you don't even have to sand it just put fairing compound straight over the top, then sand that back to what you want. sorry for the rant, just wanna help.
Hey mate! Thankyou! No we love good knowledge expecially when you obviously know what your talking about, thanks for taking your time to write, we will defiantly take it on board 🌞🌞🌞🌞🙂
Pod looks badass. Good job working with the acrylic for the windows. What about doing the floor in 3/4" thick acrylic? Would be killer to have a clear floor.
Thanks mate!!! We have already invested a lot of more money than what we thought, so tight on budget have to get the sailing kitty happening, it’s time to go sailing for the rest of the year!!! Yew
Hey, great video. Impressed with your woodworking skills -- not just limited to panelling on frame, but also making a machine with moving parts out of wood. :D At 4:33 you give us an explanation of the glass you used, but I didn't catch the name. Can you tell us more about it?
Amazing Hannah, I reckon that pod is going to add so much comfort especially when the weather is a bit nasty. Will you insulate the roof between those stringers in the pod?
Good Onya guys love it...best channel....keep it real......and get over to PNG and the Solomon Islands waves everywhere 🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇵🇬🇵🇬🇵🇬⛵️⛵️ SV QUOLL..... fastback32
Thanks! Are you a wharram lover? James specifically designed it so it would look 'sleek/sexy' as there are many wharrams out there that have huge cabins and extra things added on that just dont look good! We have had the pod for 2 years now and love it but it would have been nice if it was a touch wider but then we would have cut into more of the walk way. Thanks for your feedback :)
Looking Great! Love the paint job. Is that orca design native to Australia or is that Pacific northwest USA?? It's really obvious that you two are totally in love, it warms my heart, may fair winds escort you. Sail on forever
Nah James has been going over this design for a few years now and we are so happy with it expecially for us and our boat ! Also with only 6 months of working on the boat plus full time work to get cash and all the other crap we can only do what we can do , thankyou for watching!
Thankyou! We are very weight conscious and try to keep Tangaroa as light as possible, how ever after taking out the floor panels which weigh half of what the pod does and adding that little bit extra weight in the middle of the boat I don’t think it’s an issue at all and the benefits from the pod are going to be amazing! Yay some extra space under cover. Thanks for watching! H and J
You two are providing wonderful insight into Wharram development and maintenance in a warm and wonderful way - thank you.
a new dimension in comfort and capabilities for you.....great addition....good job
I think I've now seen all your vids. You 2 are living so many peoples Dream... Enjoy every moment and God Bless...
Very very nice work, I love working with wood also but I believe you to be my master in woodworking and finish work very quality job the more I see what you have done the more I want to buy your catamaran
One of the best sailing channels on U tube.
James is a fair tradesman

awesome. I built a Tangaroa in 1992 and had never built anything before. highly recommended design.
Looks great guys. Like I said before. It won't be long and you will be bolting everything back together for the last time.....WOOHOO! No Doubt you are already back in the water now. Cheers. Wade.

You guys are the best. That design decision to leave that overhang in the way of walking is going to be a real pain in the azz down the road
Awesome video! Love the love pod! Nice wood work! Sub’d you guys. Looking forward to seeing more videos!
That is looking really good. You won't know yourselves when you get that boat launched again.
Very excited!
Best of luck on your journeys

Looking very nice.
Great info on saving time on fairing.
Really well thought out, the pod looks great and you`ve managed to maximise everything in all the right places. Excellent job, and another excellent video from the `Tangaroas` :-)
Thankyou! James has thought about it for years!
Hard work seams to make the good times better, thanks for sharing watching from the fl. keys

Nice one -- Looks really great.
Is this Riley's brother? ;)
Great job 👏👏👏 happy days.
Your both doing great. Keep at it you'll get there.
Fine craftsmanship :)
Regarding the growing veggies...you guys should look up the "kratky methods",similar to hydroponics but no pumps needed.Oh...and the pod looks great!
Someone mentioned it the other day cheers!
Take it easy, my dears!😊
A rushed job is sometimes a fudged job😁😂
All love, and best wishes, Claire, Berlin 😘 😘 ✌ 👍 👍 👍

James did pull me up about calling the windows glass haha I’ve been waiting for someone to say it’s not glass it’s acrylic 😂
Right on! Can always upgrade later, time to get some wind in the sails. Good luck and enjoy!

Nice looking love shack!
Great job on the pod !
I was wondering what the dimensions of the pod were/are (just rough length, width, height)? Thanks
The pod looks great!
Amazing Hannah, I reckon that pod is going to add so much comfort especially when the weather is a bit nasty. Will you insulate the roof between those stringers in the pod?
Thanks mate! Nah I don’t think so we will see how it goes!
Looking good guys!
Good Onya guys love it...best channel....keep it real......and get over to PNG and the Solomon Islands waves everywhere 🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇵🇬🇵🇬🇵🇬⛵️⛵️ SV QUOLL..... fastback32
Are you guys still sailing? I keep stopping by to see the "love pod" updates but no videos for the past two months.
Oops cool I can hard,y wait to see when all done
I think that will become the love pod.......
Just an idea, but I would have put side doors & made it taller & all one structure with side boxes on the hulls.
Thanks! Are you a wharram lover? I have plan #143 for tiki 38
I dont see windvane plans in mine. Or is that a separate order?
talk about Geniuses
How much weight will it add to your boat?
Looking Great! Love the paint job. Is that orca design native to Australia or is that Pacific northwest USA?? It's really obvious that you two are totally in love, it warms my heart, may fair winds escort you. Sail on forever
should have made it so those companionways opened directly into the pod
Nah James has been going over this design for a few years now and we are so happy with it expecially for us and our boat ! Also with only 6 months of working on the boat plus full time work to get cash and all the other crap we can only do what we can do , thankyou for watching!
You could lie to me and tell me that is Riley from sv lavagabondes brother lol
That's some work right there. Subbed.

Has anyone customized a wharram into a true bridgedeck, catamaran?
"Pretty agricultural..." LoL!
Haha country aussies
Hannah Taylor >>> 👍👍
Looks nice, too bad you have to add all that weight to a light weight design.
Thankyou! We are very weight conscious and try to keep Tangaroa as light as possible, how ever after taking out the floor panels which weigh half of what the pod does and adding that little bit extra weight in the middle of the boat I don’t think it’s an issue at all and the benefits from the pod are going to be amazing!
