One thing I would like to mention- as a left-hander, I found it very easy to bind my skills to the Arrow Keys on the right side of my keyboard, as I could easily reach Shift for forcing attacks as well. All of the classes are pretty fun, so just play whatever you enjoy the most! My personal favorites are the Demon Hunter and Barbarian. If he plays on your account, it SHOULD still be there when he comes back later. Blizzard hasn't given exact details but they implied that it will work this way.
I dont know why a lot of people are having a bad time with this, I think its an incredible game and it works for hardcore gamers and beginners as well. I do know that there has been online issues, but I have yet to experience this. So just go for it man :)
Diablo II was one of the highest rated games of all time and im pretty sure it outscored BF3 in its awards that it has gotten over the years, its kind of silly to compare the games since one is a FPS game, the camera angle works perfectly for this kind of game type. The game play is fairly simple (so are those FPS titles though), but on harder difficulty settings there's a lot more you have to put into it. If you like role playing games in the slightest you'll like this.
Im currently in Hell and this was informative even for me, never thought of rebinding, very good point. Also didnt know about the gold chalice being closest waypoint to quest. Thanks for video!
You're missing the point - Justaguyyoutubin said that it's 'redundant' - basically, of course you're playing the game for fun, but the OP wanted to know what the in-game goals were above just killing endless hordes of enemies. Justaguy responded explaining there are items to collect and a story split into acts to follow (hence, a linear story), with increasing difficulty, and PVP in the future as well so not just facing off against masses of mobs.
I tried Diablo 2 on PC but never got comfortable wth the control/movement system. But now that it came out on console, I can finally enjoy its glory! Its like im back playing Baldurs gate: Dark Alliance all over again!
the first guy was obviously asking what you do in the game in order to have fun, saying all you do in any game is having fun is like saying tetris and minecraft are the same. your goal in both of them is having fun, but everything else is different
I just played diablo for the first time a couple days ago and it's fun as hell.. just have a buddy you know with you or a group of buddies and you're set,Or just add people online that you found fun to play with and just play together while skype is on [to make callouts and chatting a LOT easier.] That's about it.. that should make it a lot more fun for you to play diablo :).

Well said haha. Why are some people so hateful, it's just a game. Everyone at some point was introduced to baseball, basketball, soccer etc.etc. when they were kids and some of these kids grew into adults who still get emotional and serious about these games well into their 40s and 50s and beyond. If some people enjoy serious gaming as well. What's the harm?

How can you compete with that?
even if you were to put a lvl 1 gem on the auction house for 1gd... the minimum a lvl 14 gem would be worth is 1,594,323gd (and thats not including the cost of the jeweller which are high too) my guess is that until the market gets saturated (which could take years if not decades if at all) gems will be quite costly. It will be the gems that will be the base for the RMAH. all other items will be based against the value of gems.
I really wish someone would make a video explaining how weapons, attacking, and most importantly, dual-wielding works, because that shit is confusing. I had a 2hander and a 1hander with only a 1 per-swing damage difference (and a 0.8 dps difference), and the 2hander still did more damage with attack-skills. 2handers doing more damage with skills makes sense, but only if they do more per-swing damage than one-handers.
I've never played a PC game before and have no experience with games like this... However on PS2 there was a game called Champions of Norrath that I was addicted to. This seems rather like it, so I've researched and found this incredible game. A few questions... How fast should a computer be to run Diablo3 at optimum? Also can someone explain the combat system, attacking, techniques etc? - generally how the game is played.
How is the character leveling like in Diablo 3? Is it like Diablo 1 where you use a new game plus or is it like Diablo 2 where enemies respawn after reloading the game?
Yea, when playing D3 during open beta weekend I noticed the monsters become much harder than they are playing solo. I mean a lot harder. Although since this was the first 3rd of act 1 It was still soloable.
Yep, and only the first 6 or 7 will drop in the world, so to get the highest level gems, you have to combine quite a few of the weaker ones. This should give gems some more auction house value.

Sarcasm aside, what makes a game entertaining is based upon the contents inside. You can't achieve "fun" from a game because that would mean you're working to create fun into the game. In other words, the game would not be fun until you've worked to create "fun" into the game. +C4videos You can play with other people by selecting public game on the game settings. One the game settings menu you can change the difficulty, whether you play Campaign (run through all Acts) or Adventure (focus on rifts/greater rifts/bounties and few other stuff. I believe adventure unlocks after you reach level 60 or clear the campaign, im not sure tho. You can open rifts at the Nephalem obelisk. By clearing them you receive keys to open greater rifts which are timed and harder and give other rewards. At max level you will want to farm your set items and legendaries and normal rifts, and gems/level up gems/paragon level at greater rifts. Seasonal is a game mode that features some "season only" equipments and forces you to begin from scratch all the way up to max level (or as far u want to go...). After the season ends, all the characters you created in season will become standard characters and keep their equipment/level. You will always have to make new characters every new season. Hardcore is another game mode, if you die, you die forever. So the purpose is for your character to never die. It's as the name suggests, hardcore :)

I found that keeping 1-4 for skills but rebindng shift (force stand still) to the spacebar worked really well and was comfortable.

Remapping the force attack to Spacebar is the first thing I tried. I couldn't reach the Shift key comfortably.

skill cancelling was patched back in october or november... it doesnt work anymore
you get a rune stone when you level up in diablo 3 and the runes just make the attack better so it makes you want to level up

I just use a Razer Naga mouse with its 12 side buttons, makes using attacks much faster and easier

Can you bind movement to wasd keys? I have a g13, and I rather have full control of movement rather than click to move around.

My first tip: Just buy from the AH. Save your coin and don't craft anything. Sell everything you don't need for more coin.
The AH broke the game imho.
The game is good if your a newcomer, people are just anxious for pvp to come out already.
