  • Ian reviews the Lost x Son of Cobra - Cobra Killer surfboard: www.boardshop....
    The Lost Cobra Killer surfboard is a collaboration masterpiece from Matt 'Mayhem' Biolos and Paul Lefevre of 'Son of Cobra' surfboards. Paul Lefevre is world renowned for his Resin Works artistry, but he's equally adept at the craft of shaping. "I’ve said for years that Paul may be the most naturally talented, all around board builder, that I’ve worked with in all my years" - Matt Biolos.
    The Cobra Killer is a perfect blend of two amazing boards. Predominantly formed around Paul's unique and significant double concave bottom which was then blended into the outline, foil, rails and primary rocker of the tried and tested Lost Quiver Killer.
    So the Cobra Killer was born, a Post Modern Twin-fin with a double stringer and looks to die for. As you'd expect the Cobra Killer is fast, twinnie fast but not so much that you can't control it. The fins are set well back and because of the deep double concave there is no need for a stabilizer, in fact the Cobra Killer is surprisingly solid and predictable but with that lively and squirty feel we all love from a twin-fin.
    Son of Cobra are renowned for their immaculately finished shortboards and the Cobra Killer comes fully pimped with a full resin tint, dual dark wood stringers (fine enough for flex) with a 1/2" gap to reduce twist and torsion. The boards also come with a custom embossed metal logo laminated to the deck and a set of Lost x Son of Cobra and mini Mayhem decals.
    If we don't have the Lost X Son of Cobra surfboard you're looking for, or the stock dims don't work for you, just give us a ring on (44) 01243 674250 or email info@boardshop.co.uk and we'll happily discuss a custom order for you. We're also happy to consider taking your old or unwanted board as a trade-in against a new board!

    Looks great , very well explained .... but - showing a person of great skill riding one would be very helpful in determining if this is a board for you. I'm 68 years old , 265 lbs. , and disabled in large part from 50 years of VERY vigorous surfing - so this board is not for me , but there are a couple of localhigh school kids the could demoralize these boards. Love these reviews - very informative. Seth , the hubby poaching on his wife's account.

    Electric acid board test... Matt B. Hammers Noa for riding it as a twin... totally says it's not a twinny. ?? And had the twin plus 1 fins for him to use. ... he switched to twin plus 1 and said that was how it should be.

      They Customised the board to suit Noas preferred surfing style and moved the location on the fin boxes so it the twin he rode was different to how this would feel as a twin. Id say it was almost a completely different board to the actual Cobra Killer.

      Kinda wierd way to put out the board model...

    • @BoardshopUK
      @BoardshopUK  4 года назад +1

      Well rumour has it that noa and matt biolos arent best of mates so he changed this model so noa wouldn't be able to guess it was a lost shape and mark it down on purpose? Who knows. What i do know is that this board is incredible! ive seen videos of strider surfing it at skeleton bay and it is remarkable!

      Looks fun... seems interesting to hear they might not get along... just like every other job or industry... turns out pro surfing is the same. Still I'd like the pro surfing job!
