    Awesome video and information! I am a new subscriber and just recently found your RUclips page. I love how you are straight to the point and your videos are not full of 20 minutes of "fluff"! It is honestly refreshing. We all appreciate how open, honest and organized you are! As a future 4th grade teacher in a Texas district, I will continue to watch your videos and just want to say thank you for putting together your vlogs to help others looking for guidance. Take care

      Thanks so much! Because I'm always to the point, I often worry my videos are too short. But I know teachers are busy! So glad you subscribed and I wish you the best in your teaching adventures!

    I loved this video. I enjoy your organization videos, but this one seemed more in tune with our daily school life. More applicable to what a normal planning time might look like.

    What do you include in your weekly parent email?
    Is it similar to a typical newsletter?

    • @msrachelvincent
      @msrachelvincent  Год назад

      It's typically test/quiz dates and school reminders. A lot of times it's info the school wants us to share. Mostly reminders, not a whole lot of the this is what we are learning right now. I save that info for our class website.

    Any advice on 4th grade Reading/Writing resources to leave for a sub?

    • @msrachelvincent
      @msrachelvincent  Год назад

      For subs, if I've taught the skill, I'll leave a book and some worksheets that practice the skill we're learning that week. If I haven't taught the skill, I choose a different skill that I have taught and do the same. Having the student read a book and discuss the skill and then students either do a worksheet that practices the skill with their independent reading or includes a passage on the worksheet. For writing, I typically find a prompt of something similar to a previous writing style we have already learned.
