I used to work nights and Bob was on every morning 9 till 10am on sky TV. his soft tones used to send me asleep. I used to lie there with my eyes shut listening to him painting and picturing it in my mind. then I would open my eyes and compare my version to his! thanks bob

My friend studied engineering in college and would outright mock the arts. I showed him Bob Ross one day. He watched, transfixed-- and as far as I know, he never insulted an artist again!
A wonderful talent gone to soon. I watched Bob on PBS for many years and I have to give him all my thanks for the art that I create to this day. He inspired me and his devotion to the arts was undying. Thank you Bob for sharing your gift to all artists young and old. :)
Like he would say, we have a painting that’s worthy for the museum of modern art! I loved it when he would put 2 brush strokes on the canvas and say that!! Lol Give Bob Ross 2 hours instead of 25 minutes, and his paintings would be worthy to hang in the Smithsonian!!
I watched Bob since the 80s, and he helped me do what is in my ❤, paint. I cannot use oils because of lung disease, but I love doing acrylics using new created techniques. Bob would be shocked and so proud to see people almost 30 years later are still watching him and learning. He is the 1st original painting teacher. I watched him on PBS, public broadcasting. I will always love and watch you my dear kind friend. You brought me through rough times and I will never forget. 💚🍁💚Julie 🍁 Nova Scotia, Canada. 🍁
During these stressful months of 2020, I luckily found Bob Ross, and he and I have become very good friends. I had heard of him, of course, but had never taken the opportunity to really investigate The Joy of Painting with him. For the past 6 months, we have met almost every afternoon for a couple of hours, which has become very therapeutic for me. I am an artist and have painted traditionally for about 12 years, but never realized what I'd been missing until I learned Bob's unique way of painting. It is so different from how I've painted over the years, and I doubt I will go back to how I painted before. Just as importantly, I can honestly say that Bob's relaxing method of teaching has helped me through these weeks when stress and depression was taking over my life, and I'm so thankful for what he has taught me and the calming effect he has had on me.
He died before I was even born...and I never saw his shows on tv at all. I didn't even know who he was until years later when I was in middle school...I'm glad this channel exists
I just started painting, but my kids got me cheap oil paint kit for Xmas and brush kit. And small canvases . .but just to get me started. .I love my boys. ... But none of it works right unless you use proper paint and brushes etc, my paintings look good from distance but I am gonna get set up like Bob with extra brushes.. always love$ watching Bob since was little . .he was the chillest ,down to earth human being and u can feel the care n passion . .he makes it so easy for you
Those words - " Let me tell you what , lets get crazy here " whenever bob say those , I eventually get to know that now he's gonna do something marvellous . He takes us to the different world ^_^.
I've really grown to love Bob... 'The Trees grow any way that makes em happy' what a wonderful line... What a beautiful mix of colours.. God bless you Bob.. Saint Bob...
I'm not one to paint myself, but watching him (or anyone else do it) is always nice :). Wish there were more TV shows that are uplifting and educational like this.
My FAVORITE painting of his so far that I have seen. Such a great thing to watch before bed. I suffer with bad sleep issues and this is a great aid in helping. Thank you Bob 🙏 RIP. HOPE TO SEE YOU IN HEAVEN SOMEDAY.
Wow a lot of people accidentally hit the dislike button, but anyways Bob Ross is my hero in so many ways. He saved me from such dark times I will always love him ❤️
It's absolutely not the kind of paintings I would buy for home, but I'm always fascinated and can't prevent myself from watching, till the end and after. Always a calm and quiet landscape appears under his famous brushes. Great moment of calm
I miss you Bob! You helped me with my fear of " getting old! I hope that I have been as inspiring and COMFORTING to others as YOU have been to ME! God Bless You in Heaven! Michael McClary, Assistant Professor of Music ( Trumpet and Piano). Currently retired, after 43 years. I am days- away from 67 years old. 3/13/21.
This show has got to be one of the best ever. Amazing painting, one of my very favorites. And the instruction is particularly excellent in this one. He even acknowledged how unreal he makes things look, but told us "it looks better" and told us about how with your first tube of paint, you get your artist license :-)
One would never guess he was the one who yelled at people in the air force. He hated that part it was said. Such a gentle voice and soothing way about him. Recently stumbled upon his channel on tubi....I listen/watch and crochet. Makes me feel at ease.
I wait for him to say beat the devil outta it, every single time he washes the brush. And the times he doesn't say that, I get a little bit disappointed. 😆 Anybody else feel that?
I love this painting and how all the colors blend in the sky. The only thing I am unsure about is the absence of a reflection on the river for the grass and the trees. Does anyone know if these should reflect, or if the water captures only the bright colors of the sky? Could it be Ross kipped that because the time has has for each painting is only 26-27 minutes?

Miss you Bob, you soothed a lot of troubled souls through the years, me included.
Thankfully because of RUclips he still does ❤
And hé stil does❤️
Well said ...
Soothing me right now.😀
Yes he did
Occasionally I forget that it isn't only his voice that draws an audience. His paintings are beautiful.
And the brush sounds

Des tableaux que des articles nous offrons comme des potes fleurs chaque jours ils s'ouvre des fleurs si jolie que on regarde sans arrête
Je demande comment nous tous peut sauver le monde entier revivre une vie meilleure que la vie entraine de détruire
You can see a big tree coming when Bob says "Let's get crazy".
You can never have enough trees.
i really like when he uses purples, pinks and red tones with the black canvas, they look like nebulae out there in the middle of the cosmos
Loved that "ha-hey! :)" at the beginning
I came to find this comment and put a like on it
Heheh same :D
Yeah, yeah, hehehe boohoo hahahaha
Woobie woobie yaba yaba. Painting?

The sky in itself is a master piece
Bob Ross is on my quarantine team. Watch him every day to relax. 2020 Bob Ross needs you.
I feel like I'm in for such a treat whenever he says "I tell you what...".

You and me both.
They should make a movie about him.
that is an awesome idea
I thought he was painting Mordor in the beginning
and what do you think they should call it ?
@@brian.7966 Happy little trees
I wish he made a movie in his time, I feel like the best kind of move that could be done for him though would be a documentary
He died before I was even born...and I never saw his shows on tv at all. I didn't even know who he was until years later when I was in middle school...I'm glad this channel exists
I think this is the prettiest sunset Bob has ever painted. As usual Bob, Well Done.
Somewhere in Heaven Bob is still painting these masterpieces, guiding and calming people still to this day
I love this one!! I loved all his paintings but this one is stunning. I just wish he was still alive so I could take one of his classes.
Per favore traducete in italiano!!! Grazie mille!!
gotta have your daily dose of bob ross
Bob: "HahaHiii!"
Me: "Hello friend!"
I've always loved how lopsided Bob's buildings are, especially when he rushes to complete it. No idea how that little cabin is standing.
Doesnt matter. Its his world and that little cabin is happy right where it lives.😊
One of Bob's absolute best. He was and remains a TREASURE.

He doesn’t just paint the world outside, he makes it how he wants it; an idealized version. So it’s as if he’s not painting Earth, but Heaven.
NGL i literally thought i was gonna get board of this but like now if is . Daily thing to watch him at night
Yea i watch him every night before bed, helps me sleep
This channel is one of my favorite RUclips channels.

I always sleep well, after watching one of your episodes. Bob, you will never be forgotten. Thanks,my friend!
Only four minutes in, and he already had a masterpiece
Yeah, he only did the sky and already it is amazing
So much talent. A very beautiful painting. Amazing sky. Very grateful for the tutorial. Wish Bob was still around.

One of the most beautiful paintings that I've seen from Bob.

This one is one of his best. 💕🎨🖌️
I wanna visit the places in all the bob ross paintings so badly.
This one is fantastic really, that technic with white on the fan brush to make tree trunk appear is amazing ❤️
This aired on my birthday years before I was born. Thank you Mr. Ross
Bob is so inspirational
I love what he did with the water and the landscape. Looks better even when camera zooms in
This is stunning. Definitely going to try it. I remember watching Bob with my Dad growing up. Sure do miss both of them. Thank you for this channel 🤗
He gave me a A+ in art thank you bob Ross
Probably my favorite Bob Ross painting. Love the colors in this one

Love that sky and the grassy area in the foreground! Makes me want to do another wet it wet, which unfortunately isn't easy with water mixable oils.
lol I was 4 days old when this originally aired. 😁
+one30am I was born 10 years after this aired :D
I was 16. I feel ancient now...
Awesome painting.
greatest 3 sounds in the world

So now we can know from where all those sunset scapes colors artist inspired. This one is real son of a gun.
Beautiful painting ❤❤
I wait for him to say beat the devil outta it, every single time he washes the brush. And the times he doesn't say that, I get a little bit disappointed. 😆 Anybody else feel that?
This is healing
No devil in his brush
He beat the devil out of it .
This is beautiful I'm gonna try
he painted an amazing picture spontaneously in 20 minutes. I spent 10 hours on a planned GCSE art exam and my work was much worse...........
Bob Ross proving you don't need a drop of blue paint to make water.
I love this painting and how all the colors blend in the sky. The only thing I am unsure about is the absence of a reflection on the river for the grass and the trees.
