Sister True Dedication is like a friend I haven’t met yet; a friend I long to meet, and a friend I feel I already have, at the same time. She has such a beautiful way about her.

In real life she is also a very nice person ❤ She really loves Plum Village, Thay and the Teachings. She is exactly like she is, there is no difference if you work with her in the kitchen, if she gives a dharma talk, if she teaches in class or if you meet her in the monastery. She is a really lovely and inspiring nun ❤ I was very blessed to have her as one of my teachers. She is so kind. And she works really hard to keep Plum Village alive. And she is an amazing practitioner at the same time ❤

I have been engaged in politics and running for office here in the US in response to the genocide in Palestine - the people where I live are very angry and polarized. I have been threatened, verbally harassed, yelled at during canvassing, Ive been the target of others’ misplaced anger. For a while I thought I should give up but this video has given me renewed strength to remain engaged in social justice. The discussion here is apropos and very encouraging. Thank you 🪷

Thank you Christiana Figueres for your practice. Like yourself, we are extremely lucky for finding Thay Teachings and being receptive enough to understand and experience in us its profound transformation. But for some of us it does take many years of practice to tame and domesticate our rooted strong emotions. Yet, it is due to those strong emotions Thay won’t ever die in us. Like yourself, My gratitude towards Thay is immense🙏.

Deepest Gratitude to all @ Plum Village for participating in this June Retreat and for making this wonderful insightful Dharma talk available to practitioners and general public unable to be there in person! So grateful, and could feel the peaceful energy of sangha and imagine that I am part of that extended sangha even as I listen here in New York City @ 4-6 in the morning where I am caregiving for my two elderly parents (father in a wheelchair due to paralysis from stroke and mother, 89 turning 90 has slip and fall week ago and I needed to take her for x-ray and to dr.s…. ) Also so grateful for dear Thay’s deep teaching and gentle wise presence, and to see how these teachings and ripples of his presence live on in Plum Village and in all those who have benefitted from his words books and example of how to stay on the path and make one’s practice an everyday living breathing ( the beautiful bell… the breath returning us to our true home…) dharma, the heart of which is the heart of interbeing and clear understanding and compassion for all sentient beings… these talks mean so much! I used to attend a weekly meditation run by the rock blossom sangha founded by students of Thick Nhat Hahn’s here in Brooklyn but since my parents health challenges and during COVID was no longer able to attend… have been continuing to practice in daily life but was really missing sangha… finding these talks online such a boon… dream of visiting /attending a retreat @ plum village or one of Thay’s retreat center’s here in US… in mean time sending heartfelt thoughts of love understanding compassion and appreciative gratitude for all fellow practitioners on the path and to dearest sangha members at Plum Village. 🙏 THANK YOU!

This is an extraordinary panel, and the subject matter is of immense importance. I have to agree with the comments below about Sister True Dedication: I believe she is my friend, though we have yet to meet. Sister T.D. has the ability, as does Christiana, to communicate with clarity and elegance, but with a "knowing" only they understand because it is personal to them, yet they 'transmit' to us! Is it not a blessing that we can receive their insights and see their vulnerabilities and strengths like mountains standing firm yet breathing and expanding as part of the cosmos woven from stardust? Thank you. Thank you.

Thank you from the depths of my heart. I wept through many parts of your teaching. I could be there with you though an injury meant I couldn't travel to be there physically. As each of you shared you brought the 14 Mindfulness Trainings vividly alive. Along healing journey has challenged my practice and through your l teachings I feel your presence and encouragement in my kitchen. Deep gratitude to you and the whole Singha. Sent with love and respect. Maureen

And that Christiana Figueres discovered Thay at such a meaningful time in her life....that we all discovered Thay....that Thay existed ,found the Buddha's teachings and did all he did..........and changed so many lives ......
it somehow seems so VERY meaningful and important..... specially in these difficult times ! How much we have to be grateful for.....and for Thay's wonderful continuation ! The Sangha is growing!

If we want to evolve emotionally, we need to look at core emotions in the heart, identifying knowing what is me ,I , in the way of wholesome, unwholesome and neutral. The unwholesome emotions like anger, suspicion, lack of generosity, compassion etc will lead to more unhappiness, and we will go down as a humanity. We need to think as a human family, understand the strong forces driving the globe, are they driving us towards real long term solutions or towards selfish greed, wanting more and more. We need simplicity, low consumption, more trees, clean water, good uncontaminated soli, etc. love ve simply as the price for glitter is not worth it in the last ng term, not leading to happiness long term. Mindfulness will yeach us about our own programme running under the consciousness, so we can be better. Rise above the drives of greed towards betterment of the whole humanity.

I love and appreciate these wonderful people for taking the time for enlightenment but when it comes to someone mentioning victim card I see it very differently as I've experienced the worst kind of evils plural from family, society and government and I'm definitely not willing to excuse their behavior by saying I'm not a victim as I've tried that before and they just continue to repeat time after time and never take responsibility so from my point of view it excuses their behavior so I'm not sure how you can say I'm not a victim as you have your heart ripped out thrown on the floor and as you try to retrieve it be stabbed in the back...evil is a completely different realm and requires very different tools in reflection of it is my experience and opinion but aside from that everything else said resonates with me spiritually without question so thank you 🙏🏻
