The writers of this story wanted to make it clear that this wasn't an obvious happy ending, nor were they still definitely rivals. They wanted it to feel like Hanzo would have a lot to think about, not magically embrace his brother.
*Hanzo and Genji Backstory:* The Shimada Clan (That is basically a Yakuza) was lead by Sojiro Shimada who had two sons, a first born waz Hanzo and few years younger was Genji. Hanzo as the firs born from the youngest years was trained to be heir to Shimada Clan, while also had some training, he didn't was so pressured, so he became spoiled and was wasting money on fun and womens. Father loved both of his sons, so he did nothing against Genji. But when the Head of the Clan passed away and Hanzo became new leader, the elders of the clan convinced him to finally do something with Genji. Hanzo at the begining was trying to force Genji to act like responsible adult, but argument between brothers finally turned in to battle where Hanzo won while thinking that he killed Genji, the grief combined whit dishonor he just committed, made Hanzo went into exile where he started a new life as assassin. Meanwhile, Genji while being at brink of death, was retrieved by Overwatch agents, and With help from Dr. Angela Ziegler (a.k.a. Mercy), Genji was saved. Ovewatch give Genji a deal they will rebuild his body with cybernetics in exchange for joining Blackwach (A secret branch of Overwatch for doing a dirty work), Genji agress. Years later Genji started to have identity crysis, because he wasn't sure if he still can be considered a human being while being half machine. So he left Overwatch to serch the answer. During his journey Genji stumble upon an Omnic-Monk, Zenyatta. At the beginning Genji was ignoring Robot's wisdom, but with time he accepted his teachings and finallly found his answer he was serching for, that no mater how much he's body is machine, his soul is still Human.
1:57 You're used to the Western depictions of dragons, like Smaug. These are traditional Eastern dragons, as seen in Asian mythology. Neither Hanzo or Genji are bad. The entire reason they fought was sibling conflict, but on a much larger scale since they were pretty much gods. The sibling conflict ended with Genji's "death", and Hanzo realizes his mistakes, but there's no way for him to change what he did.
It's great to see you reacting to overwatch can't wait till you get to Mei, bastion and Reinhardt cinematics they are some of my favourite along with this one. Also greetings from Canada!
How come these guys had no reaction during the whole video when this is a reaction video lol. Kinda boring and defeats the purpose of you aren’t gonna react haha
Then what are you doing here? To get his brother and wake him up from his depression and sorrow of what he did to him. Hanzo doesn't know that his brother survived his death.

The fairytale of the two dragons is a metaphor for the story of Genji and Hanzo.
Its the depiction of a eastern dragon, not the western dragon...
Why are boomers so ignorant about literally anything?
Guys I hate to break it to you but they address this at the end

You forgot to say that the shimada clan hates the omnics which explains also why hanzo still pointed his arrow towards him afterwards

Damn I thought the elders of the shimada clan forced hanzo to kill genji due to him refusing upon not straightening himselfz
@@idark9492 It's all Canon - playoverwatch.com/en-us/heroes/hanzo/
Oh also Hanzo was way better with the sword, which is why Genji lost, but he swore off using it, which is why it is left in the temple.
