Haha, I was the kid who, raised in a relatively small midwestern town (ever heard of Twin Bings or Jolly Time?) composed of predominantly white kids, somehow didn't realize I was brown until someone pointed it out to me in 3rd grade (right around the time that my parents decided to come clean and reveal that the man I had called 'dad,' my white mother's white husband and the father of my white little brother, was NOT my dad)…apparently I missed the message at some point along the line lmao

@@Lulu-mj2fi I will try to explain(cause you know autism and over explaining lolz(also overusing parentheses)). Almost anyone can relate to be things going well when building a relationship until the other person finds out something about you that instantly makes them reject you. For Kenneth this one thing was his facial structure. How he looked turned him from very attractive to not attractive at all. For other people this might be something like being poor, being on the other extreme of some form of politics from the other person, being friends with an Ex, ..... There is a sudden shift. For me that sudden shift is caused by my symptoms of autism. These symptoms are quite unattractive. I can do decently well at hiding these traits when I am paying attention but eventually I tend to slip up. I don't nartually make eye contact(I look away when talking to people), I will often talk at too loud of volumes when I get excited(and I get excited in the wrong contexts), I "stim" by chewing on the collars of my shirts something that is off putting, I forget to take turns in conversations, I don't notice the emotions of other people in conversations causing me to act or say inappropriate things sometimes. I have a lot going for me that makes me attractive and am decent at making my autism. So sometimes for a little while I am like Kenneth with the blind girl. But it never lasts very long it always comes out. Although honestly although I like to think I am decent at masking autism I don't think I actually avoid the "thin slice" dislike of autistic people(a whole thing worth looking up)
@@Lulu-mj2fi I think that what they were referring to is how autistic people generally have a harder time concealing "inappropriate" reactions (it generally comes out quite blunt), somewhat similar to how the blind woman was unable to conceal her disdain for Kenneth's chin (or lack thereof)
Maybe, but I wouldn't call Kenneth "awkward" so to speak...after all, he has been shown to be much more perceptive than he lets on...plus, he obviously knows how to his "sexuality as a weapon!"
I mean this show is pretty old. But also, Kenneth isn't really the classic awkward male trope. Kenneth is a lot more than that! And less awkward and more weird.
