Hi! Great video but just wanted some clarification about Twin Motion 2023. I was searching online to see if there was any toggle for Light Mode in the UI, but could not find any. Is this an included feature in 2023? (Note - this was included in Twin Motion 2022). thanks
I haven't tested out SketchUp yet...but if you import with "Keep Hierarchy" from Revit, then the lights or any IES files associated with Revit lights will indeed import as anticipated. At least in my testing it seemed to work out fine! So, if you have an IES file in a component in SketchUp, my hunch is that it could be imported because if not it would seem like a waste of time to relight every fixture and it's a bit finicky to line things up accurately in that regard.
Typically, what I've done with co-workers is in the "geometry" section of the importer, you can select various file formats to import...a Sketchup file format is one such format you can select. There is a "Direct Link" plugin you can download for SketchUp if you need that BUT if you just import the sketchup file like a typical model file, then right click on the sketchup file inside Twinmotion and choose to reload...it'll always reimport the latest version of the sketchup file you had.
I'm one of those who would like to know how to direct link UE 5 with Twinmotion. Can I import my UE 5 map / level into Twinmotion ? Can I direct link and have the animation be done from either source ? Cannot seemed to find any information that clarifies this, let alone how to do them.
You can choose to "relink" the file. Sometimes it get's disconnect when Revit or the Direct linked software doesn't have an open connection but you should still be able to relink to the existing or new file.
Could you make a video on sketchup to TM? Also a deep dive into materials in TM?
Amazing video.. so cool

When is part 4 coming? :)
Very, very soon
Is it possible to intro how to import the sketchup scene to twinmotion?

The bridge between TM & UE only works one way. You can take your TM scene into UE, but not the other way around.
What should I do if I lose the link? plss
