@SpaceReptilian Basically allows him to change attack rates, how quickly you recover, how fast you or the other person are, etc.
Think a mod menu, but instead of adding things to the game for cheats and exploits, it uses things already within the game to do the same thing.

I love the dmc franchise so much because with enough skill, your gameplay can be as badass as the cutscenes
DMC is one of very few franchises where the trailers advertising what you can do and the cutscenes sometimes *understate* what you can manage in-game.

I wish I was that good at this game.
You know what I like about this gameplay? Its imperfectly perfect. It looks so much better when you are still kicking ass but taking hits in the process so it doesn't look one sided and it looks like a genuine life or death battle.
Right!I love it and especially how fast paced it is! Even high level players take the time to taunt vergil as he is going into his next attack string and kind of waiting for the attacks like he's a joke. This high paced strike for strike gameplay makes them perfectly matched
I love this. If you make a perfect combo it's like beating up Vergil in an Easy fight
But we all know Vergil can give a really good fight
Their battle was so absolutely amazing and epic in every single proportion that the entire atmosphere near them formed a raining thunderstorm combined with the cold air at the top of the tree and their literally air heating battle.
Their fight LITERALLY changed the weather for fucks sake! If that is not Stylish, than NOTHING is.

the beauty of this fight is that you win only when you know exactly how Vergil attacks. Up to the very milisecond when you see him twitch or slow down in a particular way. As if you were fighting him your whole life. Like Dante actually did

I dont think it would've hurt to have given DMC5 Vergil a little more variation. He will ground trick next to you then away to JC. That was fun but he should've had a couple of nasty ways to get in on the player.
He still murders me in 3 with helm splitter+stinger if he can land it.

@@lasttrinity0780 in dante must die you take so much damage that 4 judgement cuts would destroy the 2 Hp bars, while if he grabs you on his air combo you either break it with DT or you're dead(btw you can't break judgement cut end), you either use nero's sweet surrender or don't take damage at all

@@racerlord2329 Regardless if the writing in Last of Us 2 is abominable, if the gun play in Red Dead is kinda mediocre, etc.. my point is about the overall graphics/visuals... in this department, nothing in the market beats Red Dead 2 (the PC version, of course). And on consoles, Last of Us 2 is arguably the best looking game of them all. It's twisted to give props for their technical achievement because they reached this level through forced work, borderline slavery (and the japanese goes even further in this regard, so don't think Capcom is a "saint", far from it). As for DMC5 being better than previous games... sure, I don't think it beats DMC3, but it is definitely better than all the others

If you can, do it, you wont regret it. Epic action, melodramatic and emotional moments, comedy, lore not so in your face but is there to explore, amazing soundtrack.
However, dont expect you much from the second game. XD if you want, play it out of curiosity, but you could easely ignore it and it wont make a change, playing it feels like a chore because of how badly designed it is. The main games are 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. There is the reboot. There are a few manga chapters that expand on the story, also a 12 chapter anime.

And the difficulty could be determined by what difficulty you are playing, like, if you are in normal, you get just average elo players, hard better players and so on so forth.
You can also get an average from the player's general points and stats throught the game, which would make archiving high mission scores and not losing any HP more important.
