It's not that surprising that Kerry took up teaching during the shutdown. Her nascent ability to mentor and encourage and lift up performers of the next generation is already in evidence here in the way she treats the audience member like an equal. And kudos to Kathy for passing the mic to her, too!

I never realized that Kerry Butler was the same actress as Claudia Reston on OLTL. I now realize that role was poorly written and did not allow Kerry to showcase her immense talent!
Well, most soap characters don't sing but it did give Kerry a chance to show us a different side of her.

I met Kerry once after a performance of this show, and based on that encounter, it doesn't surprise me at all that Kerry heard Tori was playing Penny in her own production and instantly pulled her up onstage to sing it with her, because that is exactly the kind of person Kerry is.
I saw Kathy Brier play Tracy in 2004. She was phenomenal! Just perfect in the role. Funny, joyful, great voice. Love seeing her here.

Laura Bell and I grew up like two hours away from each other, she in Lexington and me in Louisville. She even came back a few years ago to direct a production of Legally Blonde at the Lexington Opera House! We Kentuckians never forget our roots.

At 39 seconds in, Kerry steps over to Jackie to greet her former stage mother (and former stage sister from a different show) with a hug, and Jackie does the most Jackie thing ever. There's no way I can describe what happens without sounding disrespectful and kinda immature, so just watch for yourself.
