  • Tom Rosenbauer teaches you how to tie a Copper John on Facebook Live. Here's the recipe:
    Copper John
    Hook: 2X-long nymph hook, sizes 10-18.
    Bead: Copper tungsten bead.
    Weight: Non-toxic wire, sized to hook.
    Thread: Black, 6/0.
    Tails: Brown biots.
    Body: Copper wire.
    Wing case overlay: Pearl Flashabou.
    Wing Case: Black Thin Skin.
    Thorax: Peacock herl.
    Legs: Brown partridge hackle fibers.

    I used to not care for Tom. I first started watching his videos and thought he kinda seemed like an impatient crabby kinda guy who's probably way too competitive then I realized I'm probably right and now I think he's awesome 😆

      Its not a speed tie video. There's lots of information in this video regarding its origins . It's interesting. Keep in mind this is a live recording and he's answering questiona.
