It's kind of a Superdistortion with a Jeff Beck thing, sounds awesome.
I recall picking up a lawsuit era Les Paul copy made by Burny (I think) I bought it in the early '80s and it was in a mess.
I tidied it up and polished most of the scratches out of it and set it up and flipped it, I wish I had kept it now as it was a set neck version and looked quite good from what I remember
Wonder what the resistance of each pickup was,did you happen to take a reading, sounds pretty good,a little hot sounding for a neck pickup, but I could get use to that.

OMG. Audio taper, audio taper are you serious. You can't be serio, well I've been playing guitar a long while now and that's just one of many things about a guitar I've never noticed that made any difference. The things musicians come up with.

I don't know how much you paid for the scarred pickups but they sound identical to the Chinese alnico 5 pickups you get for like$30 a pair.

sorry but I have 3 sets of cathys pups strat tele and humbuckeres and I have tried all the chinese crap out there and there is no comparison so your comment has got me wondering what you really got against sean and his wife cause it sure ain't the sound of the pups
Do they now? Do you own a set or are you just flip flappin? Cause I do own two sets now and you are absolutely wrong and my ears work plenty good. I've seen most of the asian stuff too and the build quality on hers alone sets them far apart. Even the tape used is high end. And they sound as good as any Duncan I've ever played. There's you some real testimony from an owner, user and 54 yr working guitarist. Go Cathy!!!!

Wow…. That’s honestly the first time I have heard anyone say that about my pickups. Well I would love to hear how the pickups You make sound. I have subscribed to your channel and will be holding my breath waiting on your “How To Make A Humbucker Pickup” Video to be uploaded, so I can watch and learn from someone who obviously knows what they are talking about! In the meantime I will be posting a video on how I make my Humbucker pickup and comparing mine to the cheap Chinese $30 pickups. Please let me know which brand you are referring to so that I can do a fair comparison.
