i remember back in my days i used to make beats in A A B A format coming out of jazz bands lmfaaao. i learned from that quick. besides simplicity, a lot of artists may not use your beats because the song form. now that is half their fault for not being very creative but also as producers (not just beatmakers) we need to think about a 2 or 3 song structures that can work for the majority.

if you show someone a beat with no vocals on it with a long ass intro, unless the beat is the craziest melody they've ever heard they are going to lose interest. I started dropping the beat after 4 bars just to keep peoples attention. Great video bro these tips have helped a lot. and about the key of the song, if you use a key below D chances are when you make you 808 go really low it's not going to sound good. Whenever my beats are in e flat and above, the 808 hits hard af.

can you make a in detail video with plenty examples on how to match 808s with melodies or loops? (Loops Are a pain for me to match 808s with) I always follow root notes and sometimes they sound perfect and sometimes they don't sound good at all. I see tutorials of people saying to detect pitch regions and find key like that and the other tutorials don't do that. In this video you didn't detect pitch regions or follow root note but your 808 is in key and matches perfect and it took like 15 seconds to come up with that pattern haha
