    That is the tram we caught in 2017. We went from South Melb Beach to Stewart Street our old street.

    Nice Video. I remember my time as a school child (1970 - 1980). I used the vactions for a tram drive. A route costed 10 cent - that was the time when the aussie dollar was strong!
    And sorry if my writing in english is not perfect - i live now 36 years in germany.

    • @tressteleg1

      I’m pleased you liked it and it brought back memories from younger days. Don’t worry about your English mistakes. We don’t laugh at each other’s mistakes like Europeans do when mistakes are said. But I can see a bit of German influence coming through. 😊😊 I don’t think you Drove the tram, as in being a Straßenbahn Fahrer. You were a rider or passenger as in Fahrgaste (more or less!!) 😄

    This gave this Sydney guy his best insight into what Melbourne is like. You could sense the difference in culture.

      This part of Route 1 is rather the exception than the rule. Few other lines have quiet backstreet running like this. Part 2 due out in a week or 2 is more typical. Check RUclips tressteleg1 Driver’s View and you should find quite a few more.

      Yes it’s a very nice route indeed!

    That was awesome thanks heaps again mate. The #1 is such a pleasant route, only dodgey stop is Cecil St.
    How was the turkey that drove his car through the Bourke St stop! I’m fairly familiar with the different unmarked police vehicles that drive through there and but that wasn’t one of them.

      Thanks for saying so. I feel there is nothing worse than watching a video like this and having no idea where the scene was taken, especially if I already am partly familiar with the city or route.

    But RUclips has only Route 1 Sth Melbourne Beach to Est Coburg driver views. I can't find any views from Est Coburg to Sth Melbourne Beach. Sorry. I thought they were views from Est Coburg to Sth Melb Beack

    Do you happen to have any videos of the light rail?

    • @tressteleg1
      @tressteleg1  6 лет назад

      I did a series on all the light rails. If you do a RUclips search for East Brunswick Tram Traffic Priority you should see it. To further your outlook, you might like to look also at Gold Coast, Glenelg, and Dulwich Hill Tram Traffic Priority videos and see which one gives the best service. Also Driver’s View Port Melbourne. Happy viewing. Let me know how you go 😊

    I guess it's called Fed Square to differentiate it from the actual stop at Flinders St

    • @tressteleg1
      @tressteleg1  9 месяцев назад

      Well what about visitors? How many miss the stop named after a shopping centre rather than the 1,000 times more important Flinders St Station? Same with Collin’s St where the Town Hall name is deemed more important than Swanston St with 8 tram routes? Why would ANYONE be looking for the town hall? Only some ‘artistic’ dreamer who never uses public transport could come up with these dopey names.

      Next Friday’s video, second part of Rt 75 shows that King St is now Melbourne Aquarium. I bet 100 people look for King St for every person looking for the fish tank!
