Brennan is absolutely brilliant at throwing these in so damn organically, its unreal. Like how in the very first episode of season one he had Kristen's little brother ask "Are you gonna fight a dragon?" when that's exactly what the final combat was.
Also, never forget "Now, a *count* CAN coup!".

The scene where Adaine is trying to focus on a spell and the others are all popping up for no reason and talking about random topics is one of the most accurate depictions of a teenage friendship group I've seen

i cant believe that brennan admitted everyone knew about him cheating on brennan with brennan and that brennan laughed, also kristen making up with brennan and fabioan getting to know brennan and brennan better, and seeing adaine and brennan interact, such a diverse cast
truly until now i didn't even register that they're all being played by brennan
he’s a great dm. he makes me care about the most minor of characters because they afe just full on people, with personalities and flaws
It's funny because for ship edits of this show it just goes from the players to Brennan to the players to Brennan

All of Fabian's stuff is really hitting me this campaign, from hitting the bottom before, and connecting to his elven roots through the magical powers of dance and soft sheets, now his talk with his mom, and Cathilda, and becoming his own man, and the Hangman returning (man I hadn't realised how much I missed him!!!), it's all warming my heart!
ngl i only started really rooting for Fabian in this season, what a brutal character arc
I’m a little behind on the series, but I’m betting Fabian reclasses as a Bladesinger.
Fabian's personal journey in this season has really quickly rocketed him to the top of my favorites among the party
I so love that the resolution to this part of his arc wasn't revenge-killing Captain James, but was reconnecting to his body and his heritage through dance
I almost went full Gilear after my girlfriend broke up with me with a message. This show helped me to snap out of depression and keep myself together. Thanks a lot
Never go full Gilear. He may be the chosen one, but his path is not one that should be followed

Picturing Fabian and The Ball just chanting “I believe in you! Spring Break!” To each other made my heart happy
Fabian at home with his father was confident and strong, with his maid made immature mistakes and hid like a child, and with his mother's family he took on their ways and danced. Being on his own without an authority figure to influence his choices and personality leaves me excited to see who he becomes.

@@holderblackledge8227 If I had to guess, it might be a bit of meta gaming from Lou. He likely picked the Dueling fighting style at level one, which gives him benefits for fighting with a weapon in one hand and nothing in the other.
This is the first Live Play DnD show that's has me as invested in the serious stuff as much as the comedic stuff
im kinda glad cathilda left to take care of hallariel because i have a gut feeling that she was a character set up to die a tragic death in the evil forest/red waste, so it would have tugged at heartstrings

I think the most difficult thing to do with a show/story is to keep people interested and always waiting for more. Being a dnd player myself,i have to say this: beside Brennan, who's a GIANT when it comes to being an awesome DM,the whole group participating so much,being so engaged in the story and actually reacting and interacting among themselves as characters,not players is something else,kudos to each and everyone of you for being amazing players and people. I'm so glad i found this channel and have been following you guys for i think over two years now,always found epic contents and genuinely got fascinated with every video you released (even if I'm still super upset that dropout doesn't work where i live or else i would have watched only your campaigns non stop lol).

@@gristen I think that the way he plays gorgug is a complete lack of book knowledge, but a very methodical and intelligent core that's been untapped. In other words, exactly what Ayda talks about and why Arthur is terrified of him

Fabian and the Hangman have one of the best relationships along with him and Riz, Gorgoug, and Ragh.
Can’t help but feel wholesome about Fabian’s relationships and their strong bonds.
Aelwin had at least 3 concentration spells up at the same time. Invisibility, detect thoughts, and hold person.
Aelwyn secretly has two teddy bears, I guess
She can easily use detect thoughts before turning invisible while fig was been distracted, then use hold person while hiding or being outside of fig sight to finish with invisibility.
It only looks that way as a consequence of Brennan explaining everything she did in sequence all at once

even if the mechanics check out, it was a dirty way to do it when the party had taken measures against it. it especially frustrated me that Gorgug didn't even get a save for sleight of hand if the book was on his person...... just because, what? he was talking to the fake Aelwyn? hm

i know that it's probably super accurate for their characters but i'm so incredibly sad that adaine and aelwyn fight when she comes back, i expected it some but i wish they were able to have a nice conversation. i am only 35 mins in so we'll see what else happens
Especially the insight from when Adaine explored Aelwyn's mind and saw that she wasn't such a bad person at heart, she was just terrified of losing her parents' favour. The Aelwyn from that scene *is* in there somewhere, just the reset put all those huge mind-city walls back up. Maybe once the parents are out of the picture the sisters will get a chance to both let their guards down.
I sort of disagree, because we saw the fight in the first episode and we saw the fight in this episode and those were different kinds of fights. This felt like a fight that a pair of siblings would have, the first episode felt like a fight that a pair of incredibly messed up people would have

Zaclit literally figured the whole thing out in this episode while everyone talked over him. He figured out it was a disease and that the god with no name was the same as a mystery goddess within the first hour. My god. Incredible

they do keep talking over each other when really good ideas are being brought to the table, which is a pity. but i did notice improvement from s1 to this one

Zac plays Gorgug really well, as a player he figures stuff out but knows that Gorgug wouldn't necessarily get it. Gorgug is much more methodical and doesn't believe in himself academically, so there's a lot of "please tell me if I'm being stupid and everyone knows this, but..." before he drops some Riz-level deduction.

I’m gonna be so real this is probably the most well written D&D campaign out of all the D&D campaigns. I’ve watched there are so many twists. There are so many turns. There are so much character development. There is so many things that keep you on the edge of their seat so many things that feel like they were inevitably gonna happen, active storyline that can change at any moment. This is a very well done campaign Brendan good job.
