In map Bacon site-9 (Map with gray giant) there are 4 scienists, 2 white scienists with 1 yellow scienist, and one white in box upper giant, if we kill all scienist, but don't kill scienist at box and just wait, he will say ''Boss! You forgot about me!''.
He says that because his boss escapes using the vent in a cutscene if he survives.

I think that infectious smile is a sequel of thirsty vampires though it was released after infectious smile
The reason is that in thirsty vampires, rob has hair meaning he was in his mid 20s. He also had bottles filled with his favourite 'drink'.
As we see in infectious smile, rob has no hair, which means that he is in his 60s or 70s. The bottle is empty and has no more of his 'drink' which also is another proof that the infectious smile took place after thirsty vampires.
We also see in scattered notes around the map that gives us a hint that he used to work with the researcher bacons.
This also means that rob has helped the researcher bacons with their project
This is a theory of mine, if I missed something, feel free to reply me about it

But I still think that infectious smile takes place in the modern day because of the weaponry, some of the technology, etc. For the facility stages, my theory is that the volcano and the cave are where the facilities were built, the other stages that aren’t facilities could probably be the creator’s POV of what happened in the outside world when the infection spread. If you want to use my theory, pls credit me!
I think everything that's in the cave was built. It would be weird because we're in the cave all the time.
This is the best way to kill a big smile: try to get them to the ice potion map with the spawnable ice. Once they are at the entrance that is close to the castle. Use your ice potion and they will freeze. Happened to me as a big smile.
The wait is worth it.

one thing that gets me thinking is the build and survive mode... like what backstory does it have? i mean my head-canon could be a bunch of people looking for a place to find hope (they don't cause they all die anyways) and they reach many kinds of places after surviving the last encounter. the hill being the first attack and so on, the house on low land being a result of a oddities in a reservoir someplace, and the lava lands being the result of something unknown happening. but one thing contradicts (the people finding hope) this is the Expedition and number unit which i don't know how to explain it... maybe a town that was reclaimed from the smilings and they send Expedition units to liberate a another area or to expand big is possible but idk just my dumb theory.

I think maybe the giant bacon must be the test subject which maybe hav tried all kinds of potions and maybe some of those white things must be the smile liquid which maybe explode every and the only cure for must be in some of the maps which there is a kind of blue water like tears sadness water only from the humans I think.(idk is just what I think idk if am right tho😅)
