I live in the UK and have been taking more interest in the situation in the middle east as it is now affecting Europe as a whole due to uncontrolled immigration and is not far away from turning into a conflict here as well. I am not religious but I believe that Israel is the home of Jewish/Christian people who were around for a long time before Islam and also it's not the home of Islam either. Also I am looking at the history of Islam via a group of people doing research into it's history and invention and it seems to me that Islam is a jealous, envious and childish religion that will never allow for any peace despite the fact that it's basically a copy of Judaeism and Christianity and wouldn't otherwise exist. Islam has got most of the middle East to itself but they want it all and I don't see there being peace unless Islam goes through a reformation but this also seems unlikely as muslims are not allowed to question and think for themselves.
As long as they dont have mass destruction weapons they will learn it faster then the europeans learned it thru many centuries of War. The World need to make Muslim brotherhood their evil enemy and help progressive, peaceful Islam to flourish. Its there. Need help against the villains.
Christianity also copied judaism however they acknowledge jewish prophets/mythologies they worship, Islam on the other hand seems to completely rewrite history. Judaism and Christianity are both Judaic religion while Islam is Arabian.
Thank you so much for understanding the complexity of this conflict. Its root cause lies in a form of primitive Islamism. Indeed, if the Palestinian Arabs had acknowledged their defeat, they could today rival Germany in terms of development. However, being predominantly Muslim, they refuse to accept that we are now in the 21st century, not the 15th.

That's the wrong analogy to draw. Conversely, you are deriving the wrong lesson. The Allied victory came after Germany's capacity to wage war was completely eradicated and the country was occupied. It was premised on total military dominance-unconstrained operationally, politically, and strategically. That is not the case in the Middle East. You won't win the war in the South without achieving total control over Gaza's territory, and you won't win in the North until Hezbollah's capacity to wage an offensive war is destroyed-both tactically, as seen in the type of attacks carried out by Palestinians on the 7th, and strategically, by severing Hezbollah’s connection to Iran. Law means little when it cannot be enforced, as demonstrated by the UN resolution you mentioned. The ceasefire, in effect, is the result of a diplomatic power play and has nothing to do with international law. There is no point to a mere cessation of fire when the underlying disputes remain unresolved-it is simply an interregnum before the next round of conflict. If a military solution is the chosen path, as it appears to be, only an unequivocal display of military dominance will achieve the kind of peace you envision. The dispute is political, rooted in religion, and there will never be any lasting peace unless the other side is convinced of its enduring military inferiority. Nothing less will suffice.
I applaud your analysis. My fear is that lasting peace under conditions you describe as accepting 'enduring military inferiority' would ring hollow to in the ears of Jihadists who draw their inspiration from the Koran. Hope springs eternal for these fanatics and this is what makes the problem so difficult.
The logic applies the other way too. Israel could accept defeat of its aspiration for continued settlement expansion with no violent resistance. And Israel could embrace the word 'resistance' instead of 'terrorism' to characterise opposition to its settler colonialism. Israel could accept defeat of its professed aim to achieve a status quo where Palestinians never attack it; and, in accepting that defeat, it could grant whatever the Palestinians say would constitute a just peace. The conflict has been going on for a century, and continues, so clearly no one has won. So Israel could accept that has been defeated.
