    I Love your interpretation of this Etude.
    You keep showing that it's not all about the speed you play it (I have no doubt you can play this very fast and accurately), it's about the emotion you pass on. Thank you

    I love this! It’s very pretty how the ocean reflects on the piano.
    If you do this again, you should put white LEDs under the top lip of the piano to light up your hands so they aren’t so dark.

    You need a gun license for those basses! It's an insane piece, so deep and powerful yet absolutely beautiful. I'm glad about this dedicated video, although i also love when Annique plays it at the end of her livestream concerts, totally exhausted and smashing all the remaining energy into the keys. Again, outstanding performance and production in this one. 💥💥

      Your Chopin passion calls to mind Shakespeare's lines, from Juliet to Romeo:
      "My bounty is as boundless as the sea,
      My love as deep; the more I give to thee,
      The more I have, for both are infinite.” (Act 2, scene 2)

    @w3sp 8 месяцев назад +66

    Your interpretation is great and the visuals are amazing. I hate to be the guy but I really don't like the audio. It's not due to the interpretation (because it was great) but rather the mics or editing/filters that were applied, I'm not sure. I can clearly hear the bottom and top note of each phrase but pretty much all the notes in between are sort of really swallowed/inaudible.

    • @ABCDEFG-cj7mr
      @ABCDEFG-cj7mr 8 месяцев назад +14

      When I play this piece, I try to cover up the middle notes as much as possible, because it drowns the melody otherwise. The result is similar to Annique's version, I think it's part of interpretation, and I love it hahw

    • @offbeata
      @offbeata 7 месяцев назад +2

      The sound clearly can be improved. I have the impression that with better mics that problem is gone easily. Concerning the interpretation I cannot say much other than that it’s stunning.

    Constructive criticism: The upper most octave should be played with distinctive notes. However, they are rushed, and it wrecks your performance. It is a lot of fast notes, but it does not carry the excitement that it should.
    I believe that if you took some speed off, you would gain some control and musical excitement.

    Imo this piece has a very strange interpretation. It begins off all minor and bombastic, just like you'd expect from the ocean.
    But then chopin throws us off by making it seem like a nice cruise across the ocean?
    Idk, but with the right chords, this piece could sound outright horrifying, yet chopin deliberately chose not to.
