After testing the alpha build on my 4090+12700kf, I can say this is a real game changer, due to the high draw calls in my heavily modded game, in many places I got 40-50fps, but after I enable the dlss3, I get 120fps!, and In most places I can keep my fps at 100-120, and I never get such a smooth skyrim before, thank you puredark!
@@AbrahamZX1they do and they are horrible, most VR players disable that stuff. From what I read this could technically work with vr, but most are saying it would add to much lag for vr. What about their antilag tech? I'd like to see someone try a couple of titles
im not tech savy but that looks insane, i wonder if it will help with the deadly ''turn around stutter'' that only 10% of players with good pcs have including me.
The turn around stutter is most likely caused by a lack of VRAM, I had the same thing, but when I got my 4090 I noticed that my VRAM usage was at about 20GB, which explains a lot.
Turn around stutter is caused by either VRAM or slow drive. I used to have the stutter, and I was using 2.5" SSD. Then I moved the entire mods/skyrim folder into an NVME drive and the stutter magically disappeared.

I have a bug report With frame generation alpha build 2 there is huge flickering in the distant terrain such as mountains trees building.... etc when turning the camera which imo is kind of unplayable and if this issue is solved this mod will undoubtedly be a game changer. Thanks for the hard work!
@PureDark yeah after reinstalling it disappeared but another issue that I am postive is not from user error is that mouths and eyes on npcs during conversation become distorted after looking at them talking and not moving the camera for maybe 5 or 7 seconds. This is a big immersion breaker and it would help immensely if you can fix it.
Honestly amazing! I upgraded my 1080 with a 4070 and while using enb and lots of other mods I had 30-40 fps around Riverwood and my modded winterhold. At winterhold at one angle I got 30fps on my 1080 and went to a whopping 34~fps ony 4070. Now with this mod those locations have double the frame rate. It feels like removing a huge cpu bottleneck. First time ever that it feels like I can play a modded Skyrim(including oldrim) with consistent 60+fps at 1440p.
@@dunrossb for me it was extremely worth it. Turned the game from 60fps plus in most situations but always with certain areas under 40. (My panel has adaptive sync from 48 onwards). Now it's basically always above 60fps with enb etc on '1440p' (DLSS). So very transformative.
Theres a mod on the nexus called dlssg-to-fsr3, it allows 30 series and I believe 20 series (not entirely sure, don't quote me on that) to use frame generation, since in fact 30 series do have the capability to utilize frame generation technology, its just simply NVIDIA wanting to lock this feature to strictly 40 series graphics cards to incentivize people to buy 40 series, which is extremely anti consumer and scummy asf in my opinion. Besides the point, the dlssg-to-fsr3 mod works beautifully, as i have tested it for myself. On my overclocked RTX 3060 (I got it in 2020 during the crypto boom and it was the only card I could get at msrp, don't flame me) at 2K resolution, I'm able to get a lovely 90-100 fps playing cyberpunk 2077 with all ultra settings w/o Ray Tracing, 50-60 fps w/ Ray Tracing, and even 30-40 fps w/ Path Tracing. I'm wondering if there is any to get this mod working for skyrim se.
Would it be possible to add this to CPU limited games like Arma and Total War? Since these are really loved by the modding community and players, but have always suffered from CPU issues
@@puredark465 AMD will also be releasing their Frame Generation equivalent for FSR later this year (think its called Frame Interpolation), it will also work on all hardwares instead of just the RTX 40 series. Will be incredible if it can be supported as well, a lot of older games that no longer getting updates will benefit significantly from your work!

Bethesda might add their own DLSS 3, i've been asking bethesda directly for an implementation. And i saw a rumour somewhere that said bethesda are working with nvidia on RTX features. Which usually means dlss 3 to back them up these days.

Just to set the record straight. I am running 1500+ modded Skyrim on Ryzen 9, rtx 4090 and still get 30ish fps drops in Falkreath, for example, with Jk, Cotn, Nature of the Wildlands mods due to 15k-20k draw calls. Will this help me get around that issue?

DLSS3's Reflex works with any Nvidia GPU going back to GTX 900 series. DLSS3's Super Resolution upscaling works with RTX 20, 30 and 40 series. DLSS3's Frame Generation only works with RTX 40 series.

@@TheHaydenAlexanderYou're extremely misinformed on this topic, please don't write essays if your thesis is "Frame Generation is the same regardless of how it's achieved". It's not the same. DLSS3 Frame Generation is different from FSR3 Frame Generation. Nvidia did not make FSR3 Frame Generation. The fact that you can run that FSR3 on more types of GPUs has nothing to do with DLSS3 Frame Generation.
@puredark is the developer of these mods, he's the one that uploaded this video. In all his mods he also includes FSR 2 in addition to dlss 2. It's just FSR 2 is not nearly as good technology. So it looks more fuzzy.

I tested it very much and there is some gain but not enough to warrant a go back. Now frame generation I will start downloading all my mods again lol

It's not reported by anyone else and wasn't in my play session, so I'd say you got it wrong and it's not working as intended.

DLSS3 doubles the frames even if you are limited by CPU.

It's not the same. DLSS3 Frame Generation is different from FSR3 Frame Generation.

Great mod, I have elysum remastered modpack in my game and it run 4K 40fps with drops using a rtx 3080 12gb, so it is going to help me a lot :)

Sadly it's not FSR. I really dislike Nvidia for their approach to limit everything to their platform only.
It does suck but I do see why, since Nvidia does have to pay for the supercomputer and AI to train games to use DLSS.
FSR is already supported through mods. Just nowhere near as good as Frame generation.
