Steven has the Real Rock N Roll attitude, i guess some people forget that rock n roll was never about being technically good, it has always been about attitude, rebellion doing whatever you want without caring what other people think of you. Thats rock n roll and thats waht steven is!!!!
I hear Steven is a real personable guy, down to earth and willing to just chat with people. So glad he got clean and is recovering from his stroke. Lucky guy, could have turned out much worse.
I remember hearing G n R after Steven was out, first thing I noticed was the drum sound and patterns was different and I said "That can`t be Steven Adler" and found it wasn`t. He has his own style of drumming and he got his own sound as well that fit Guns perfectly.
In my onpinion he is and always will be the greatest drummer of all times. He is playing with such joy, and playfullness. It just doesn't get better than him. :)
saw Steve and Adlers Addiction in Destin last year. He got up from the kit, walked to the edge of the stage and handed me a broken stick. Rock on Steven! As much as I appreciated the other members of the band ( they were awesome ) I was savoring the moment. Watching Adler tear it up. A real "trooper". Hung out backstage for a bit, never forget it.

That stuff you cant learn. This just shows how individual music is, there is just something about the way he play drums. It's not techincaly "complicated" but comes more from his heart and his personality than anything else. A wonderful guy from what I can tell and those who dont think much of him probably cant take him for who he is. Rock ON Adler! Love from Norway
Steven was a major influence back in the day. He's what I'd call an 'in the pocket' drummer. He aint flashy but he can sure as hell keep a groove.... in other words he is not a show boat or a wanker.
